The house was everything we expected and more! Beautiful and stocked with all the amenities we could possibly need, staying here made our trip absolutely perfect. The location was great for us and it was only a couple minutes to walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend staying here !
Many thanks for a wonderful stay in Rockport. Lina and Woody helped us out with everything we needed! But with our 2 year old girl we had some problems with the stairs. It´s a beautiful house in a nice surrounding but not made for small children and elderly people.
Lina was a great host. We arrived a little later then first anticipated and she was very accommodating. Her place is charming cozy and clean. My babies loved playing in the yard with the tree swing! Plus the updated kitchen was a great feature of the place. The pictures are an accurate depiction of her home. Rockport is an exceptionally beautiful town (nothing like it) & the drive into downtown Boston is a very pretty drive as well... Had a great time!!! Thanks Lina!
Lina made us feel welcome and although I don't believe it was intentional, there was definitely miscommunication in the description of the property. First, part of the definition is "entire home", this is not true, the property is part of Lina's main house but doors are locked and the entrance is completely private so there are no issues with lack of privacy except we were surprised. The ground floor is lovely and spacious but again the description doesn't explain that the property is better suited for a small young family with older children. The second floor access is by a spiral staircase so large luggage is a challenge. It consists of 1 bedroom and the ONLY bathroom which has poor lighting and no handrails in the tub to assist with easy access. The 1/2 bath listed in the ad is actually a laundry room with no bathing facilities. The third floor (converted attic) is accessed through a closet type narrow entrance, challenging steep stairs and no handrails. We were 4 adults, all over 65. None of the adults were willing to stay on the 3rd floor (unable to sit up in bed because beds are tucked under the sloping attic roof) but mostly because none of us could handle the steep stairs in the middle of the night to access the 2nd floor bathroom. 2 of us slept in the LR, one took the cushions off the sofa and made a palette on the floor and the other slept on the sofa (not a pullout). Awkward and not comfortable to say the least. Another real problem was NO heat. We arrived in good weather but the last day the weather turned cold (60 degrees inside) and the heat didn't work so we ended up turning on the oven to warm up the house to about 68. The property is in a great location, close to Halibut Park and the downtown area, it is charming and perfect for a couple or a young family whose kids can safely negotiate the attic stairs.
Logement très bien entretenu, propre et calme. Nous y avons séjournes 1 semaine en famille et avons adoré. Merci a Lina et Woody pour leur accueil.
It is the second time we stay at Lina and Woody's place and we are still in love with their charming home.
They are so welcoming yet give you the space you need to enjoy your vacation.
The house offers the charm of New England and is ideally located. Make sure to go to Halibut Point State Park, the view is to die for.

Beautiful home located a short drive to all the best beaches in Rockport & Gloucester. Short drive to local supermarkets and shopping. Private drive and entrance. Well appointed and modern kitchen - with toaster & coffee maker too. Relaxing living room with walk out to garden patio with seating and gas grill. Garden was large enough to accommodate our 9 and 7 year olds. Beautiful mature garden with lovely flowers and wild bushes throughout. Bedrooms were of a good size with AC.
Hosts Lina and Woody were extremely warm and welcoming. They kindly offered us the vegetables and fruits from their own garden. Our daughter enjoyed playing with their granddaughter for a nice part of the trip!
Thoroughly enjoyed our first experience with AirBnB and will definitely be back to Lina and Woody's beautiful home next year.
Had a great time. Place was perfect for our family of four and not too far from town. Nice walk along the ocean just around the corner. Hosts were very friendly. Will stay again if in the area.
This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful shady garden only a mile or so from downtown Rockport. Lina and Woody were very welcoming, and live in the main house so were available for anything we needed.
The house is full of old New England charm, but with a new kitchen and everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We hope to come back again!
We had a wonderful stay at Lina's beautiful house! She was such a gracious host and went above and beyond by even setting up a crib for our 3 month old son. We had a great time exploring Rockport during the day and then heading back to the house for cozy evenings in.
