Living 90 minutes outside of NYC. We renovate houses, teach yoga, and travel. When we can combine more than one of those things, we consider it a bonus.
It was a perfect weekend getaway, and the house was a great place to relax after hiking. It's a 5-10 minute drive into town where you can get groceries or dine out. Very close to Worthington State Park where there are great hikes with beautiful views. House was clean, and using the key code instead of using keys was really convenient.
We stayed from 3/20/15 - 3/22/15 and the day of our arrival there was a snow storm. We received an email from Brian and Chris that the driveway will be shoveled and house will be kept warm. After a 3 hour drive from NYC, it was lovely to walk into a warm house. I was expecting the house to be drafty however it felt like it was well insulated and we were warm. Location is great, close to shopping, ski resorts, etc.
Few observations worth mentioning:
1) As mentioned by previous reviewer, there were quite a few lady bugs upstairs, especially the bathroom, it didn't bother us but we felt bad when we accidentally stepped on a few.
2) The oven in the kitchen, it is a stove top electric but very powerful and efficient + the oven has a convection feature...I was pleased to see this.
3) There is a power gird across the street from the farmhouse. It really didn't bother us.
4) There are board games which kept us entertained during the evening. (Yahtzee, Monopoly, and Scrabble).
5) There are 2 HDMIs in the back of the TV, however, because of the way the TV mount bracket is connected to TV it was difficult to access them. However Brian and Chris were very responsive and will look to address this for future renters.
We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse, we loved that it was pet friendly and the place was quiet. We highly recommend this place and it's a place we'd stay again.
Hosts were very helpful, house was easy to find and all of their instructions were clear.
The reservation was canceled 111 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This house was absolutely perfect for our weekend adventure in the Poconos. It has the rustic charm of it's 105 year age, yet all of the modern amenities that we needed. Everything was exactly as described in the listing so it was easy to feel right at home when we arrived. It was also nice knowing that Brian and Chris were nearby if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again! (And our pup was so happy that the place was animal friendly so that she could come with us!)
This was my first airbnb experience and I couldn't be happier. Brian and Chris's responses we fast and helpful and their house is great, pictures don't show just how big the house is. We found the house reasonably priced, centrally located, clean, spacious and well equipped. When we return to the Poconos we would love to stay again.
Me and my family stayed at this place from Feb 20-22 and I have to say this might be my best Airbnb experience yet. Affordable, spacious, great location, and homey. Heat was great, bed was comfortable and everything in the home worked. I would highly recommend this place and Brian and Chris to anyone looking at their places.
We stayed at Brian and Chris's home over Valentine's Day Weekend and had a lovely time. The conditions outside we're the coldest we've ever felt, but the house was perfectly warm for our whole stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for that weekend! The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Brian responded to our texts within 2 minutes and was very helpful with anything we needed.
The only thing that was a little odd was there were quite a few lady bugs in the bathrooms upstairs. Overall though, it was a wonderful stay and we would stay again!
A cute and cozy house. Hosts were proactive with providing clear information and details, and also were responsive to questions and some small issues we had.
Brian and Chris were awesome guests, and very easy to work with! I would welcome them back any time!

Brian and Chris were ideal guests. They were communicative about their arrival and departure times, and very clean. I would absolutely host them again.
It was nice having you stay with us and keep us in mind your next time thru Coeur d Alene.

I want recomended Brian & Chris to every host in Airbnb. The comunication was exellent, when they leaved the flat was in perfect condition.
Chris & Brian's home is my favorite place to hang my hat whenever I pass through the Delaware Water Gap. It's just a short drive out of the city, yet it feels like a world away - so quiet and peaceful, the perfect place for a stargazing getaway!
The home is quite cozy and has all the amenities you need & want.
Very convenient to get to - just minutes from the local bus station - and surrounded by some charming local haunts.
Chris & Brian take extra measures to assure a quality stay at their place - in fact, I think I'm due for another visit!
Brian and Chris have created a cozy home that feels like a retreat close to all the outdoor fun of the Delaware Water Gap. I love how close it is to the bus station and the back yard is incredible. The kitchen and dining room are perfect for cooking a great meal with friends whether that be a small group of 2-3 or 8! They are fantastic and thoughtful hosts!
chris and brian are my favorite people on the east coast and i have stayed at their place before as part of chris' yoga retreats. the house is comfortably close to the bus station and is peaceful and quiet. the backyard makes a great spot for camping and hanging out and the general vibe in the area is bliss. i highly recommend giving this spot a shot as your next vacation spot with airbnb.
This is one of my favorite places to stay on the East Coast! Full of good energy in a small cozy cottage you will enjoy a very restful sleep and down time during the day in the beautiful living room surrounded by windows. Chris and Brian are awesome and super responsible people who keep everything in tact. The Delaware Water Gap also has some really charming restaurants and scenery to keep you entertained if you feel like exploring the sites. Chris also owns a great yoga studio in town where they both teach and there's a very sweet community of students.
