Youri was a great host, very accommodating and friendly. I wasn't around the apartment much, as I was working in the city and looking for a place to live, but it was fairly convenient to get to Manhattan, especially for the price.
Youri was very easy going and super quick in his communication. I had a change of plans, resulting in me not staying at his place.
Youri is an attentive guy that wants you to feel home from the moment you arrive at his place. We had many interesting conversations about Haiti, Venezuela, and the US.
His place was clean and very comfortable.
Hope to see you again soon, Youri!
I just returned home for having spent a month in NYC at four different airBnB addresses. Compared to my previous experiences (In Europe), the stays in NYC did not include breakfast. I guess the site should be renamed airBnS: bed and shower. No-one advertised breakfast, so I didn't expect it, but it's what made the previous experiences a bit more interesting. That said, every bed and shower that I used was excellent!
Youri's place was my second stop. It was located at a different address than given by airbnb. The headline of the advertisement is a bit deceiving as it takes 15 minutes to walk from Youri's place (Center Street) to the nearest Path Station (which is Grove Street). Then it's only 10 minutes to Lower Manhattan by train and about 25 minutes to Madison Square Park. If you're lucky with the train schedule that is! At night or in the weekend, the Path train takes a detour via Hoboken, which takes much longer.
Youri's place is an interesting option if you plan to visit Manhattan during the day and don't intend on going back in the evening. There's plenty of places to eat and drink around Grove Station. It's also good for people who have a rental car as you can park the car nearby without any charge. To me, the place was too far away from Manhattan and the Grove Station. In between visiting sights in Manhattan and going out in Manhattan, you want to get back home and shower and rest a bit.. But it's a bit of a bummer if the walk between the apt and the subway station is 15 minutes every single time. It was efficient though as a base to discover the New Jersey towns (Jersey City, Hoboken, Newark, and the shore). All of them worth exploring!
Communication with Youri is great though! And he makes you feel at ease. There's a big supermarket around the corner and a laundry place, which is very convenient. And his dog is very enthusiastic.
Youri is very nice. The place is small, but serviceable for the price and proximity to NYC. He has a dog, a sweet little beagle with a lot of energy. Make sure to get the exact address directly from him as the one on the airbnb site may not be correct. He is still in JC, but closer to Grove Street.

Youri is one if the nicest most genuine people I have met it recent times.
His apartment is warm cosy, welcoming, clean and safe. It was a pleasure staying with Youri. The location is great. You can park right outside the door with ease and its a short walk to the path station.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would have no problem recommending it to anyone!
This is an incredible location. It's close to all sorts of transportation and walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. It's close to the Path trains and only took about 20 mins to get to Manhattan. You can also walk to the Newport Mall. Youri was an excellent host and a great person to chat with! His dog, Cassie, is adorable and people friendly. I also recommend checking out his store if you're staying in the area! I would definitely stay with Youri again!
Youri is a wonderful host. The room was very clean, smelled good, and was easy to get to. Youri is a very interesting person. I will be staying there again on my next trip to the area.
Very happy, just as advertised, Youri is very nice
