What a wonderful place! Pictures don't do it justice. We were welcomed by Marchetti family with fresh fruit and juice. The place is on the bottom floor and very spacious. It is very clean and we could not ask for more. Beautiful Tuscan views. We only stayed for 2 days but we had enough time to drive to Florence 35-40 minutes and enjoy some of the famous sites and local food.
Wifi, satelite TV, hair dryer, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, stove, plenty of towels and sheets

This was definitely the best stay that we had in Italy. Silvia and Gianni were excellent hosts, always going out of their way to make sure we had a great stay in Empoli. They cleaned the house every day when we were out of the house, gave us wine, bread, fresh eggs and meat for cooking, helped us buy some medicine when we got ill, reserved a table for our dinner, and were always available to help us. All of these were probably way beyond their duty as hosts.
The house itself was fantastic. Very spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. The water heater worked perfectly, and the kitchen was well stocked. They had a lovely garden with 2 horses in the backyard.
Would love to go back there in the summer. My wife is itching to play tennis with Silvia, who just happens to be a former national tennis player and tennis coach :)
We were welcomed by Silvia's Mom while she was at work. We found a lovely bowl of fruit and juice.
The house is on 8 acres and beautifully maintained .
The neighborhood is very peaceful.
We couldn't have been better cared for all week.
They suggested great restaurants for dinner, and Silvia even did our laundry !
Silvia was the best host ever. She was very very friendly and made our stay wonderful and comfortable. We arrived a bit late without having dinner so she gave the whole table of food and drinks for us to make a very nice dinner. The house itself was beautiful with a big garden that you can have your breakfast there. We had a very beautiful memory in Tuscany. Thank you Silvia.

Silvia is an amazing host. She will make you fill as you are in your own property. The house location is amazing. It's well equipped and we manage to cook a wonderful Italian dinner. What an amazing experience...
I don’t usually leave reviews but this property deserves all the good press it can get. There is one negative which if we had known at time of booking we would have dismissed this property and missed out on the best rental we have ever stayed in. We were under the impression there were two bedrooms, as it is the living room couch makes into a (very comfortable) bed. We are two couples travelling together across France and Italy. This turned out to be a minor inconvenience but would be more than fine for a family.
Sylvia and Gianni our hosts were some of the friendliest, nicest people I have ever met. They seemed to anticipate our needs but left us alone the rest of the time. For instance, on arrival there was a jug of cold juice awaiting us and a few minutes later after asking Sylvia where the closest grocery store was, she showed up with a basket containing eggs, homemade bread, tomatoes, onion, garlic, pasta sauce, bottle of Chianti, and homemade olive oil. It made a delicious first meal for us. It is a working estate; other than the pasta and sauce everything else was produced on the property. Then the next morning Sylvia dropped off a lovely brioche for breakfast. She even offered to do some laundry for us.
I mentioned it was a working estate but mere words cannot describe the beauty of it. The property is very large with olive, pomegranate, and lemon trees and surrounded by a beautiful bay hedge. I thought bay leaves just came dried out in a box. When Gianni saw us wondering around exploring he joined us and showed us the other areas that are part of the estate. In an adjoining field I saw a horse, back of the main house, chickens and rabbits, and beyond their property, vineyards as far as the eye can see.
What a welcome to Tuscany!
A lot of positive words have already been written about Sylvias hospitality and we have no other choice than to add a new verse to this praise :o). We felt very comfortable in this accommodation. It was simply perfect for us, it met all our needs. But the most special thing about it is the friendliness not only of Sylvia but of her whole family. All of them were careful and so welcoming that we felt fine from the very beginning. It doesn't play any role that Sylvias English isn't so good; she mixed it with Italian words (our Italian was worse) and accentuted it with gestures and it worked very well. Although the family had to go through hard times in the time span we were there, they took care of us and tried to solve every problem as soon as possible. Although - the only problem we had was the unstable wifi which depends e. g. on the weather ...
We enjoyed the calmness on the property, especially at night, we've never slept so well in a bed which is not our own.
Sylvias villa is a fantastic starting point for many trips throughout the Tuscany. We visited Pisa, Florenz, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Prato and Lucca, of course. Especially Lucca and San Gimignano are must-have-seens. A special tip from us for all who don't dare longer trips is the "Giardino dei Tarrochi" made by Niki de Saint Phalle in Capalbio. We loved it so much, it was absolutely worth the journey.
Like all the other guests before us we highly recomment this accommodation and we hope to come back.
