We are a lawyer and a writer. We both love to travel and to spend time with family and friends.
Robyn was great with her prompt response from my initial inquiry to the follow-up days before our arrival. Everything was detailed out about the town home and the photos depict accurately the town home.
The place was decorated nicely and clean. Only note would be that you can hear traffic sound from La Brea (main street one block away by the back of the town home) at night. It didn't bother us that much as we slept just fine.
The location is superb as it's close to many LA attraction and local eateries. I would recommend Robyn and Matt's place.
Robyn and Matt were excellent hosts. Their home is as beautiful as the pictures portray and they left us a list of some great, very detailed, nearby necessities and attractions (grocery store, mall, restaurants, etc.). The only caveat was that there was only one parking pass which did not ultimately guarantee parking. I'm sure that since it was a holiday weekend the streets were more crowded, which in turn made parking quite the challenge. Parking aside their home was very comfortable and welcoming and my guests had a great time staying there and were very impressed by the accommodations. I would definitely stay here again.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Robyn and Matt's place proved to be the perfect choice for my recent, last-minute visit to LA. The location is very close to many LA amenities and attractions (e.g., LACMA, the farmer's market) and in an attractive, safe and very central West LA spot. Their place itself was charming, immaculate and unexpectedly homey. Though we did not have any interaction with either of them once we checked in, Robyn was extremely responsive to questions prior to the visit, and Matt was very patient and accommodating notwithstanding our late arrival. And the welcoming swag (wine and chocolate) was a very gracious surprise.
One comment about the lack of air conditioning--like one or two other guests, we arrived during a "heat wave." I put that in quotes because a heat wave in LA is not normally like one back East, in that humidity isn't an issue, and things cool down pretty much immediately once the sun goes down. So, we found to our relief that even though it passed 90 a few days during our stay, open windows and fans made our sleep comfortable.
Robyn and Matt were great; really communicative and helpful. Their place is just as charming and lovely as it looks in the photos, and worked really well for our group of two couples for a weekend in LA. Their kitchen is very well-equipped for people who would like to cook. The only tough thing was the lack of AC, since we picked a time during a heatwave to come to town! Robyn and Matt made every effort to make us comfortable and outside of this exceptional circumstance, their place was perfect.
I came to LA for a long holiday weekend and chose Robyn & Matt's lovely apartment to stay in for the visit. It was a great location between many of the popular areas that I was frequently driving to. The apartment itself didn't disappoint either - it had a lot of space and measured up very accurately to the photos. Robyn and Matt provided all of the basic necessities for a comfortable and enjoyable experience - I would absolutely recommend this apartment to for a trip to LA.
Robyn & Matt have a great home and were exceptional hosts. I had high expectations going into the weekend based on all the good reviews but my expectations were exceeded once I arrived. The house was in immaculate condition and was true to the pictures and the other reviews. Stay with Robyn & Matt and you will not be disappointed. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again.
Their home was even more beautiful than in pictures. Immaculately clean, tasteful and well located in LA. Their bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. They were flexible on our arrival time and we were met by Matt, who was friendly and helpful.
We had a terrific weekend stay at Robyn's beautiful home in LA, which was conveniently located on a residential street off Miracle Mile. The home is wonderfully decorated in a modernist style, with all rooms being spacious and light-filled. Robyn was a gracious host, calling beforehand to give the lowdown on the place, and checking in during the stay to make sure everything was fine. Overall, a terrific experience, and would love to stay here again next time I'm in LA.
My daughter and I shared a lovely, long week-end at Robyn and Matt's home in L.A. and everything about the experience was as described on their AirBNB site. The pictures are totally accurate, the kitchen is wonderfully outfitted, the bedrooms and bathrooms are immaculate, and the apartment is in a sweet, well manicured and tended courtyard. We enjoyed every minute of the stay and would happily return when the occasion arises.
Robyn & Matt are amazing people, they are cultured, savy within their city and kind. I have been fortunate to call their LA home, my "home away from home" every time I am on the West Coast. Robyn's decorating taste is immaculate (you will see) and she is the best hostess I know!
I will add that when I come to LA for business I have the option of staying at many hotels (I work for a hotel company) however I choose/ prefer to stay with Matt & Robyn as their place has all the conviniences/ nicities of a hotel however the charms of a warm home. You will be thrilled with your experiences with them.
