I'm an independent journalist and filmmaker currently directing 'deepsouth' (Summer 2012) -- a feature-length documentary about HIV in the American South.
I've produced documentaries and digital content for public television, cable TV and private organizations. My last documentary 'The World's Toilet Crisis' (2010) covered the sanitation crisis in South East Asia. In 2009, the videos I produced on the humanitarian crisis in eastern Congo won the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award.
I researched Muslim immigration to Italy as a Fulbright Fellow and I graduated from Columbia University's School of Journalism.
