a lover of arts, fashion, travel, good books, independent films, cooking, red wine, good bourbon, dogs, detroit and brooklyn.
Great spot to stay. Didn't see them much but the place was lovely.
And detroit was amazing !!
Wonderful hosts! Nice, safe and pleasant home. Perfect for our visit.
Heather must have been a tour guide in a past life. She was extremely helpful about directions, where to go etc.
Heather and Steve were lovely hosts and their flat was convenient and comfortable. Mexicantown is a great neighborhood to explore, and there was a cute local coffee shop, a lush park and amazing tacos within easy walking distance.
Heather is a 5 star host! Very warm and considerate. Prompt communication. She kept the apartment very well. Clean, gorgeous and homey. It’s just a really comfortable place to stay. I love the Detroit guide she put together. Very professional and informative. She’s really knowledgeable about Detroit area and art and design. I enjoyed talking with her on those topics and learned a lot! I’ll definitely stay with her if I travel to detroit again and I highly recommend her as a host.
Heather and Steve were great hosts, and they have an awesome house. We loved Detroit and much of that had to do with their recommendations. We would certainly stay there again.
I absolutely loved my stay at Heather and Steve's. They have created a charming home, and I felt very welcome and at ease. Having access to a bike was a great bonus! My only regret was not staying longer, I was in Detroit for a conference and did not get to visit the city much. All the more reason to return! Heather and Steve, thank you for your generosity and hospitality, looking forward to my next visit!
Steve and Heather were very hospitable and their house was very nice and clean.
Did not actually stay here due to change of travel plans.
Heather and Steve were lovely hosts, the place was clean and welcoming, the neighbourhood felt safe and nice and the location was pretty good, but really in Detroit it seems like you should have a car regardless of where you stay -not much public transport.
My friend and I had an excellent time in Detroit, I can't believe it gets such a bad rep -we saw so much good art and met such interesting people, it was a great trip and a great air bnb experience!
Heather and Steve are great. Super easy to deal with and very accommodating. The house was clean and comfortable and in a great neighborhood. Would definitely stay there again!
Very nice guests, short stay but enjoyed meeting them very much.
Heather didn't feel like a guest in our house; she is our new airbnb best friend! Often the trickiest part of renting out your entire home is that sometimes you don't get to meet the folks sharing your space, and even though we never got to personally meet Heather or her Mom,Vickie, we felt like we were communicating with an old friend every step of the way. Best part: Heather left us our favorite pickles as a welcome home treat! THANK YOU, Heather! Our Brooklyn*Detroit bond is now complete.
Heather was a wonderful guest! I truly enjoyed hosting her, and we had a lovely time chatting and getting to know each other during her stay. She was clean, friendly, outgoing, responsible, responsive, and very easy to share space with for a few days. I would love to have Heather as a guest anytime, and would highly recommend her as a guest to anyone else!
I've been best friends with Heather since we were in seventh grade. Her and Steve are excellent hosts and have a beautiful guest room fully equipped with an Xbox 360 and a Super Nintendo! They keep everything super clean and the bed is super comfy. Anywhere you'd wanna go seems to be just a short drive away from their place. Need a place to stay? I'd go with these two lovebirds.
