I'd highly recommend Burak's flat, it is very close to Istiklal, metro station, tramways. The flat is designed very creatively, it's comfortable, light and cozy. Although it 's close to the resto-bar-club places, it is still quiet and unannoying.
The room is very close from galata bridge and famous sites
so comfortable in istanbul.
And studio is so cozy and good.
Burak was very very kind. Many thanks.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The studio was clean, but quite small and didn't correspond exaclty to the pictures. We were 3, but when we arrived, only the bed for 2 people was ready. But Burak was helpful and nice, so the couch was prepared for the 3rd person. A 3rd chair and some items for cooking have been added. He gave us some tips about the city.
The neighborhood is a little bit noisy (close to Istiklal Caddedi and Nevizade, where there are restaurants, bars and clubs), so don't forget your earplugs if you are sensitive to the noise...
The bakery downstairs is good (perfect for breakfast) and open all the time. They speak a very few English but they are very nice.
Burak is extremely kind and helpful. He met picked up a friend at taksim despite her being late and having no means of communication. He was really responsive the whole weekend when we had any issues, namely the stove. Burak's place was interesting and definitely unique. You can certainly tell it is currently lived in, and could maybe have used a more thorough cleaning. Burak built the loft himself which is really cool, but the stairs are a bit treacherous so beware if you have kids. Also, you have to cross a busy road and bar street, which again, we didn't mind but if it's your first time in Istanbul then it might be overwhelming. Overall though, the place worked for us and Burak was really a great host.
I was at Burak appartment, very near to Galata. The flat is really spacious and clean. It is very close to Galata tower, in a side street, so it's quiet.
Burak was very helpful and flexible with the chek-in/out times. He also gave us some tips for local places... and they were very very good.
Thanks Burak! I highly recommend him and the flat!
Muchas gracias Burak! Recomendable 100%!
Everything was great! Burak met us outside the apartment at almost midnight to show us around. It's a great communal space for 6 friends on an adventure. Quite a bit if a hike up the stairs but everything is wonderfully decorated along the way. A little dark outside the location at night but perfectly fine during the day. The entire building is a guesthouse, so full of similar travelers like us. Minutes from taksim square and galata tower. Definitely recommend! Seriously, the building aesthetics inside are awesome.
Thank you for everything, Burak! We had a lovely time in Istanbul. Your apartment had everything that we required and had a very good location.
Burak bey kaldigimiz sure icerisinde gercekten cok yardimci oldu. Evin konimu pek guzel olmasa da taksime yakinligindan dolayi tercih edilebilir.
I highly recommend Burak as a super warm, kind, interesting person to stay with in Istanbul. You'll be hard pressed to find another person who has such a passion for Istanbul and its treasures. If I could choose anybody to be my guide in the city I would choose him with any doubt.
