Arrived at Garnett's place after an international journey from hell. However i immediately felt at home upon arrival to the house. Was a much bigger than the pictures represent and everything was very clean and comfortable.
Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the baltimore area and i'll certainly be back!
We loved our stay at Garnett's place. The kitchen is well-furnished and was fully stocked. We shopped at the local Trader Joe's and cooked most of our meals, while saving a few meals for sampling the local cuisine. We also loved the Saturday-morning farmers market, which was only about a block away, and picked up a ton of fresh produce for a pittance. Garnett graciously shared his Illy espresso maker, and it was heavenly.
Garnett checked on us multiple times and provided several pages of notes and hints for our stay. We found the master bed very comfortable The house temperature was comfortable for our entire week. We used only the bedroom window AC unit for part of each night.
The home is in a neighborhood that is considered on the edge of the Johns-Hopkins campus. So, there is a campus police patrol that regularly drives down the street. Though we did not feel unsafe, it was nice to have this extra bit of security included.
Parking can be sparse, but we were typically able to park within a few car lengths of the front door..
Please try the Punjab Indian grocery that is just around the corner from Garnett. It won "Best Indian Grocery" in Baltimore. It is super fun and eclectic.
Thanks, Garnett, for sharing this fun, affordable place to stay!
The perfect place to stay in Baltimore! Why? Host & house are a perfect combination. We liked it so much!
Garnett was a great host! He was very accommodating with check-in and out times and had great instructions. He provided a parking permit so we could park right on the street. The neighborhood and his space were great! It was super comfortable and the big kitchen with all of the cookware and utensils made for great meal making! The front porch was awesome to hang out on and the beds were really comfortable! I had to talk my friends out of trying to take the bed home with them! There was an awesome farmer's market on Saturday morning just a block from the house. Pete's Grill, a couple of blocks up, was great for breakfast. There was a grocery store within walking distance. It was a great (email hidden)ose to downtown and to the airport. We would definitely love to stay here again when we come back to town!
This house was FANTASTIC!!!! It was a great location and traffic wasn't that bad. If you are going to a convention I highly recommend staying here! The host is easy to talk to and he answered all my questions!
We were in Baltimore apartment hunting and actually found something right around the corner; it's the perfect neighborhood. Chatted with Garnett's neighbors on the porch, felt welcome in the 'hood and lived like a local with all the great shops and restaurants around. The house was perfect and comfortable and welcoming. Garnett's instructions were thorough and clear. And he was very communicative to me throughout the whole planning process (we were new at AirBnB). The perfect spot to stay—truly.
Clean and very nice place in a great neighborhood. Check out the nearby farmer's market on Saturday mornings!
Well, we just hated to leave. We felt so at home in Garnett's place. It was our favorite airbnb yet. The house is charming and so spacious, especially the kitchen that was perfectly supplied for all our needs. Garnett was extremely thoughtful and prompt to respond to us at all times. We enjoyed walking the few blocks each day to our daughter's place through the delightful neighborhood. And having the Farmer's Market around the corner was a bonus. We loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back to visit if Molly decides to stay in Baltimore. Thanks Garnett for helping to make our graduation trip so memorable.
We stayed here for two weeks in April, it exceeded our expectations in all aspects.Very clean ,spacious and comfortable home within walking distance to daily necessities.Garnet gave us an info sheet to familiarize ourselves with the home and off he went, it was that simple. Our teenage boys had so much fun walking to the nearby parks to play soccer ,the farmers market just behind the house was a Saturday delight , and there were plenty of places to hang out for coffee or drinks in the morning or evening.
I definitely recommend this home if you are in the Baltimore area, you will feel you are home away from home, very warm spirited house, will stay again if in Baltimore.
We had a terrific stay at Garnett's place. It was comfortable, spacious, in a great location for us in an interesting neighborhood with much to do in walking distance. And the townhouse is a quintessential Baltimore row-house.
Love hosting Garnett! Still getting calls about how fabulous the party was which he was kind enough to host (and invite us to)! Always leaves the apartment tip-top. Let's do it again asap! :)
a very nice person, with much sympathy. Very friendly and clean.
I would totally recommend!
Garnett has a voracious appetite for life - he drinks it in wherever he goes. He always shows up with great hooch - in our case, a bottle of Johnny Walker Black! You could run into him anywhere in the world. He's en excellent airbnb guest and a cherished friend! Can't wait for his production of La Traviatta in KC (2016).
