Laura was very welcoming and the apartment was as it appeared on airbnb. The location was great and close to tourist attractions of Florence.Easy walking and plenty of choice of restaurants, supermarkets and laundrymats and taxis. The apartment was perfect for our stay in Florence.
Cute & cosy apartment in an excellent location. Everything is within very close walking distance. There is even a pub next door if you want a late night drink! Lots of cafés on the same street & the river is only two streets away. The station is five minutes walk away. Clean towels provided, good shower & very comfy bed. The only thing I will point out is that it is very small - my husband and I had two large suitcases and there wasn't any floor space to lay them or even open them, so if you are travelling with big luggage you should be aware of this. But otherwise the apartment is excellent I would highly recommend anyone visiting Florence to stay here!
The apartment was like it was advertised. I liked it very much: it was a small apartment but we had almost everything. I say almost because I think a washing machine would be great. It was not necessary for me because we had just arrived from another place which had. It was also nicely decorated and it was close to Florence´s center, we didn´t need any transportation means. It was also very close to the train and bus station (St Maria Novella), which was a good thing, as we didn´t need to carry our luggage for a long time all through Florence.
We met Laura briefly, but she was nice, had gathered a map and some tours panflets and was also very acomodating, as we arrived before the check-in hour and left after the check-out. She let us in ahead of time because there was no one the day before and she arranged a place for our luggage until we left (by the way, thanks a lot for that, Laura, I didn´t thank you enough for that).
I had no bad experience there and recommend the place!
This place was lovely. Very clean and a nice big shower which is always a bonus. the location is about 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. The hosts met us on arrival and explained everything which was nice. The only downfall with this place is it is very noisy, some nights it was loud until 3am. Aside from that, i would highly recommend this place.
Staying at Laura's was great! The space is small but perfect for two people traveling without too many needs. Laura was very accommodating. The kitchen was small but perfect for making simple meals. All of the major sites were within walking distance and the apartment is in a nice residential area. There is a grocery store right by the apartment and anything else you may need. I would absolutely recommend Laura's apartment to anyone looking to stay a few nights in Florence!
We had a very nice stay in Florence. The place looked just as advertised-- small but clean and quiet. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The location was great, very central. Laura was very nice and took care of everything. When my travel companion took ill the day we were supposed to leave, she was very understanding and flexible with our check out. We would recommend this place to anyone who has a few days in Florence!
We were in Florence for 4 nights, the apartment was clean, however the bedroom was tiny for 2 people, we had to walk over the bed to get to the other side of the room. Apart from that the location was very good, close to the train station and the centre of town to all the main attractions. Laura greeted us, gave us a quick tour and that was it. Very easy to find.
This apartment was terrible. It was so small - only a very tiny bedroom, small bathroom, and a sliver of a kitchen. It provided no space to sit comfortably - the only space was in two VERY uncomfortable metal chairs at a sliver of a counter in the kitchen. The bed took up almost the whole bedroom (leaving about 8 inches between the wall and foot of bed to squeeze by) and the bed was extremely hard and the most uncomfortable one we've EVER slept in. There was no place to put our luggage except in the entry hall, which was very inconvenient. We felt the photos of this space did not accurately show what it is really like. The shower was large, but the bottom of the shower curtain was filthy and several other areas of the apartment weren't as clean as they should have been. There were no kitchen towels or sponge provided, and no extra bathroom towels, either, so it was almost impossible to do anything in the kitchen. We didn't want to come back to the apartment in the evenings because it was so depressing. Our lodging made our stay in Florence less than great, and due to this, Florence was our least favorite city. We couldn't wait to leave. We even checked to see if we could get into a couple of nearby hotels, but of course, they were already fully booked. We do NOT recommend staying in this apartment, unless perhaps you are a single backpacking young person who doesn't care to come home to a comfortable space in which to relax. This was not a good experience.
I and my wife stayed at Laura’s apartment for 4 days during April 2014. This was a nice room in an excellent central location of Florence. Most museums, restaurants and other tourist sites to see were within an easy walking distance. The room itself was good and the kitchen was very well-equipped and bathroom was spacious. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Florence for a few days.
