Lorenzo was fantastic as he made our arrival and meeting point very easy, and also helped out by reserving a taxi for our departure. The welcome was warm, friendly and informative.
Lorenzo's apartment is in the most amazing location, only a few steps from the Metro and one of the most amazing sights in Rome, the Colosseum! Every day we stepped out of the doorway into this vista. Amazingly, even with this proximity to a major tourist attraction, the street was very quiet and private. :-)
The apartment included everything that we needed as a family of 5 (including teenagers). We could, for a few days, absorb the culture, cook just like the locals and enjoy a perfect haven for resting in between our various outings. The facilities within the apartment were modern, clean and spacious, and the children very much enjoyed the stand up shower/spa. A wonderful apartment that I would certainly return to if I ever have the opportunity to visit Rome again.
Great apartment close to the Colosseum so very convenient. Raquel was lovely and met us when we arrived.
Das Appartement liegt superschön gleich am Colosseum. Also ist schön sauber gewesen und schön platz für mindestens 6 Leute.
The Host was waiting for us and was helpful showing us around the place and how to work all the appliances. The listing was just as pictured but was a little tight for 7 guests. It worked for young adults though who didn't mind being close, especially when we spent all day exploring Rome.
I am glad for your happy stay in my apartment.
Hope to see you again
The location for this apartment is bar none, the best a tourist in Rome could wish for. Perfect for seeing Ancient Rome and for taking the metro anywhere else in the city. The flat itself is tastefully decorated, as pictured. We easily made several meals for our party. The wi-fi worked wonderfully and allowed us access the entire time. The bathroom is huge and it was so convenient to have a clothes washer in the kitchen.
The only issue we had was that the AC didn't work. We didn't notice this until our very last night as we hadn't needed it. Unfortunately that last night summer arrived suddenly in Rome and we found ourselves very hot! We left early the next morning, so hopefully his next guests had it working!
Despite this issue, we would recommend and ourselves would stay here again.
Tip: if you happen to be coming on the public metro, like us, get off at Colosso and as you exit the station, take the set of stairs on the right side of the exit to go to the road ABOVE the station. We walked around the entire Colosso upon arrival as we didn't know to do this. However our host met us at the station once I contacted him that we were lost! (Apparently all his guests have arrived via Taxi until us!).
Great apartment in a great location. Walk to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the main shopping area Via Del Corso. Close to the Metro.
Apartment facilities all good for a family of 5. Lots of storage and extra pillows and blankets too.
Communication between the host was very good. Lorenzo even booked us our taxi for the airport on the day of our departure.
We were in a group of 6 adults, between late December 2013 and early January 2014, in the apartment of Mr Orsi. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, well maintained and well equipped. Two beds are great, but my wife and I slept on a sofa bed that brought some discomfort. The heating worked properly and we noticed that there air conditioning (split model) in the bedrooms for hot days in Rome. The building is nice, quiet and easy to get a lift to the 3rd floor (but use the ladder it's no a sacrifice). The location is great: just a few meters from the Colosseum, Imperial Forum and Palatine Hill area. Piazza Venezia, Campidoglio, Teatro di Marcello, Circo Massimo, Largo di Torre Argentina, Via Nazionale, Via del Corso and other great attractions are also close enough to walk a few minutes. Moreover, the Colosseo station (Metro Line B) is almost beside the building and several bus stops/lines are nearby, which facilitates the shift to other places of interest like the Vatican, Villa Borghese, Piazza Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Trastevere etc... Despite a very tourist area, going toward the Monti neighborhood (near Via Cavour) you find restaurants, emporiums, cafes, grocery stores, more local or authentic shops.
Finally, Mr Lorenzo Orsi was a very kind host and kept fast and objective communication from booking to the end of our stay.
So my family and I had a very pleasant experience at this property and I recommend it to the Airbnb community.
Beautiful apartment! Very close to the Colosseum. It was like home.
Lorenzo's place is very clean and comfortable. The communication was perfect.
Thank you for a good time!
Great apartment for a stay in beautiful Rome! Excellent location near everything that you need. One step to Colosseo. Close to restaurants, all sights, bars, cafe the all publis transport. Lorenzo and his help was an excellent host, very helpful and kind. Very quick communication. Apartment was clean and quiet. Great wifi. It was amazing holiday with my parents, and with my grandma in the big flat. Well equipped kitchen for its size. Thank you!
