The apartment may be simple but has everything you would need for your stay and the views of the Bosphorus and old city really are amazing. It is a great base to explore Istanbul from as it's so close to the metro, trams and ferries, as well as the lively Taksim area. Despite being so close to Taksim, which is generally crowded and noisy at all hours, there was no noise problem in the apartment. Although I didn't see much of Umut he was friendly and had some good suggestions for cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area. There was only one problem during my stay - no electricity when I arrived at the apartment one day - but that was fixed immediately.
Great place, simple with confortable beds, hot shower and amazing view! It was like in the description. Umat was a great host and he waited for us even if our plane was late. We have shared a great meal in a cool restaurant where he's used to going. The place is well located, near Galata bridge and with an easy access to the od Istanbul and all the great monuments. The neighbourhood is full of nice bars and restaurants. We really love our stay !
A great apartment in a great location. Easy walk to all the tourist attractions and sites. Kitchen was well equip and bed was comfortable. Umut made our stay enjoyable with some good recommendations and was easily accessible if we ever required him. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
The room was exactly as I expected and good value for money. BUT - it will forever be tarnished by my worst ever check in. I was stranded outside the building for one and a half hours with no way of contacting the host. It all comes back to communication and it seemed to me that Umut is too busy to read emails fully and reply to them in good time. I advised my arrival time 36 hours ahead and I met that time precisely. But Umut was not able to meet me and had not advised me. He did apologise later. But I repeat - the accommodation was very good once I got inside.
The flat wasn't very clean but the district is great, the view beautiful and Umut is nice !
Due to heavy rains in istanbul last week, there was a water leakage on the walls from rooftop, so it seems like a dirt... this week the roofman came and fix the problem and it is going to be painted as brand new as before...
We absolutely loved staying at Sima Peace pansiyon in Çı ralı ! The wooden cabin is charming and indeed somewhat of a 60s throwback. Beautiful views, pleasant location.
The host -Aynur- is the sweetest, and we really enjoyed the communal, delicious dinners.
Umut is a very friendly host. Accommodating, available, we had a great time in Istanbul.
I stayed in this apartment with a friend for a week and it was a great base from which to explore Istanbul. The apartment was simple and clean as described and the views of the Bosphorus from both bedroom windows were stunning! Umut gave us great tips and advice on getting around the city and on where to eat and drink. He was always available throughout the week to answer queries either by text or by calling into him. I was expecting the area to be noisier at night but found it surprisingly quiet-apart from the early morning call to prayer which takes a little getting used to. All in all we were very happy with our choice of accommodation and it is also ideally located to explore all that this enchanting city has to offer.
Really nice stay at Sima Peace ...
Ayrun, the owner, is a lovely person, funny, full of energy, and very helpfull.
