We spent 6 nights at Aynurs place! The rooms are very basic but with hot water, air condition and beautiful views into the green nature... they provide all you need. What really let us relax was the atmosphere full of positive energy. Guests coming all over the World, talking, sitting together and enjoying Aynurs great dinners....
.That all made our holidsy to a great experience!! We will come back!
Umut is a friendly host and eager to help. The curtain in one of the bedrooms fell down and he came to fix it. The apartment has a beautiful view and is conveniently located. However, we had real hot and humid weather and didn't sleep very well, as the curtains let the light come in, and if we let the window open, the streets noises would be too loud. Also, the shower water floods beyond the bathroom so you have to put carpets to absorb. Other than that, lovely place and wonderful stay!
The real Host of this advertisement is Aynur - the charming lady who takes care of the guests interconnecting them with her legendary cooking and is always present with her generous and powerful attitude!
Thank you Aynur making our stay so wonderful!!!
Umut is responsible for the booking Procedere and the first contact - his communication has to be improoved . His advise how to get to Cirali and find the Pension was not very helpful.
The place is super quiet, cozy and welcoming. Aynur is a great host that always takes good care of you. Her food is very good. She let us the bikes a few times to go around town which is great when it's hot. If you have any questions or request, she always does her best to help. A wonderful woman that loves to meet new people! We had a great time there and consider going back in the future! Thank you so much Aynur!
We enjoyed the flat. Perfect location in city centre and great view. Umut was a friendly and helpful host.
This was a fun place to stay. We spent 2 nights. The room is VERY basic and small, nicely windowed, up a primitive staircase. Sima-Peace, the complex, has a number of rooms like this one. The food (dinners were provided - extra reasonable cost) were fabulous! Breakfast was great. The people were awesome and we got to know a few of the interesting guests. We borrowed bikes one afternoon to explore. We spent time at the lovely, expansive beach. This is not a 5 star, pristine hotel, but if you don't need that you will really enjoy this experience!
Umut was a great host! The appartment is the perfect starting point to discover the city. It is tidy and clean and has an awesome view on the Bosporous. Can recommend it to everyone!
First, the location is awesome and the views are spectacular. The area of town is definitely safe and very up and coming. It's in the back streets in Beyoglu, which is where a lot of hipster cafes, design studios, and artists are. That being said, it is down some small alleys that are a little shady at first and in a building that's quite run down.
The flat was nice enough, but it did have the shower not separated from the bathroom, which can be a little annoying with water everywhere after anyone takes a shower. There is also no living room space to hang out if you want to do that, just the kitchen and two bedrooms.
The photos might be a little old in some cases - there is now a water heater in the kitchen where the birds on the wall were and things are re-arranged in several rooms. There is also a styrofoam covering on one wall in the two bed bedroom due to water damage I believe.
Lastly, it was quite difficult to get a hold of Umut, which doesn't seem to have been the experience of others here, but he basically didn't respond until the day before we arrived with instructions for how to get into the apartment. We eventually had to walk to a cafe up the hill to get the key, but they didn't know anything about it and eventually it got sorted out. We also had some cleanliness issues with lots of dust and hair balls coming out from under the beds throughout our stay (probably because it was quite warm and we had to leave the windows open).
Overall, I'd say there's probably similar places that might be a bit nicer in the area. I'd definitely recommend staying in the Beyoglu area though since it's in perfect distance to everything and is the best place to find great food (off of the main roads like Istiklal cd though).
