In 2009 we embarked on a Home Free Tour covering 15,000 miles and all 4 corners of the United States. We enjoyed the company and generous hospitality of many people: some we knew and others who were strangers when we first crossed their threshold. Those experiences inspired us to be hosts for travelers like you.
We have 2 dogs, both labs, who fill a lot of our time. Playing, walking, hiking, chasing balls and frisbees, and enjoying lots of good rub downs are things we all enjoy together.
Ginger loves to cook and has named her primary kitchen knife, "Julia." To go along with cooking we both like to entertain. Small group dinner parties, spur-of-the-moment invites, and all out bashes tend to fill our house.
Ginger is a master recycler and we've done a lot to reduce our landfill waste stream to include composting, recycling, and water savings. We're working to reduce the amount of disposable plastic in our life and do lots of bulk grocery shopping with glass containers. We compost as much waste as possible and use it to amend the soil of our garden. We appreciate people who are open to learning more about household conservation.
We are huge fans of Masterpiece Theatre on PBS. So most Sunday nights we have a standing date with the TV.
We tend to go to bed between 9-10 pm because we are early risers; however, when fun and lively conversation ensues that's often a reason to stay up a little later.
