Born in New Jersey, living in Williamsburg Brooklyn the greatest place in the world. I am a artist and inventor/industrial designer.
We ended up with Randy and Susan accidentally, not knowing much about Brooklyn or it's neighborhoods. Our goal was a non-hotel. That was it. Randy and Susan proved just how sad we would have been had we gone anywhere else. They have a knack for hospitality, and their place is incredibly interesting right down to the towels. They communicated, helped us with our stuff, and have a better place than is evident from the pictures. The pets on premise are charming and adorable.
The place itself is good for other reasons. The massive, beautiful Prospect Park is very close by. Parking, which can be a nightmare elsewhere in Brooklyn was relatively simple. If you are on the fence about booking this property (and you don't hate animals) just do it! Trust me. After 15 other trips like this to different parts of the country, it is obvious that Susan, Randy and this place are a cut above.
A friend of mine and myself stayed at Randy's and Susan's for almost two weeks!
I cannot explain how happy we are about it all. The minute we got there (they had given us a phone number to a private taxi company that took us to the apt) Randy welcomed us and took our (heavy) luggage to the apt and there we got to meet the lovely Susan and the doggies.
Our bedroom was clean and comfy and the pets were the cutest! I think they liked us back because Roy and Lala were so playful to us and they even slept with us a couple of times.
Randy and Susan were super attentive, even when I was so annoying asking them for things to do, where to eat and the like.
Susan made us delicious waffles and they both took us to dinner and to the movies!
The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and everyone over there is lovely. The park is just a few blocks away and so is the subway. There are stores everywhere and seem to be opened 24/7.
What can I say? It just felt like being at home.
Thank you so very much to the both of you for making our stay unforgettable! We would definitely stay with you next time in NYC.
See you guys down here anytime!
We had a lovely time at Randal's apartment in Brooklyn. Everything was just perfect. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and the animals made the stay very special !
Great place to stay in Brooklyn. Very nice and considerate couple. Randy and his girl are very cool to talk to. Super cute puppy, a couple of nice dogs, and one cool cat. I would definitely stay there again.
Hey Randy and Susan are great, I really felt at home!! They have an amazing cat and the best waffles in NYC! If you want to feel NY, you must stay with them! BTW, they even have ice cream cones! jaja
Staying at Randy's was great. The room was spacious, clean and came with a very comfortable bed, fresh towels and air conditioning. Randy was extremely helpful from the moment I made the booking until the moment I left his apartment. He was extremely nice and great to have a talk with about the city and life in general. The location was great. It is just a few minutes walk to the subway and a 15-20 minute ride into Manhattan. I would definitely stay at Randy's apartment again.
great experience, Randall is great host and will help you with anything you need !
My girlfriend and I stayed at Randy's place for 3 nights and it was a great choice. First impression while walking there from the train made us a little nervous, but the apartment turned out to be just like the title says and super convenient if you want to get into the city quickly. Randy is a super nice guy who showed us around the area and gave us some tips for getting around.
The bathroom is tiny but you get used to it quickly and the shower with all the hot water you want is really nice after walking around all day. Randy's roommate was there only a couple of times and was a really nice guy. We had the apartment to ourselves most of the time.
The only negative I can think of is the ladder up to the bed. It's very steep with widely spaced rungs so if you have to get down in the dark it's a bit scary. I missed a rung a couple of times and slid to the floor. You should probably leave a light on so you can see where you're stepping.
Other than that, the bed was comfy, the apartment was warm, Mr Piña's had great coffee and fresh fruit for breakfast and we were 5 minutes from the train. We had a late flight and he let us check out later in the evening so that we could spend another day exploring. I'd recommend Randy's place to anyone looking to visit NYC without spending a fortune!
Thank you Randall for making my stay in NY that much more fantastic. The apartment is great! Definitely small but cozy! That bed is the comfiest ever. The location is perfect, two minutes away from the subway, but everything you really need is walking distance. Such a lovely neighbourhood. And a great host! Thanks again :)
Location is awesome. We loved the hood, the cafés, shops and laid back atmosphere of Williamsburg. Facilities in the apt. are small, but cosy and clean. Randy was super welcoming and offered guidance if needed. Would warmly recommend!
Randy is a great friend of mine. He is kind person and has the best energy. His dog is the sweetest girl and makes you smile. Randy will help you feel at home and he makes the best exploded chicken pot pie!
I have known Randy since i was a child. Randy is definitely the type of person you want to stay with. He is honest and trustworthy. I would say any traveler would fit in perfectly with him, especially dog lovers.
