Randall was a fantastic host! He made us feel welcome in a clean, well-kept apartment, and was always ready with suggestions if we had any questions. We felt safe in the neighborhood; the Q subway is about a 5-minute walk from Randall's making Manhattan and other boroughs quite accessible. Our bedroom was spacious, perfect for a couple, with two large windows and a very comfortable bed. Once again, we had an excellent time in NYC and Randall helped make our experience even more memorable.
Randall was a great host. He was helpful and in the same time very discreet. His appartment is located in a quiet area of Brooklyn with convenient access to public transports. Staying in Randall's place made our trip to New York a very pleasant experience.
Randall was a really nice host and a kitten-rescuer. He welcomed us with a good homemade chili and made us feel comfortable. He was always ready to give us some advices and good adresses. The neighbourhood has plenty of beautiful houses and is not too far from the action; the subway station is pretty close. The room is big and clean and has lots of sunlight. Thanks!
Randall was an amazing host, and we definetely made a new friend. He made us feel very welcome, drew up maps for the cool spots in the city and even took us on a one-day-trip to Philly. The neighbourhood is great. Lively, but quiet in the night. Very convenient with the subway 5 minutes away. Being just next to Prospect park it couldn´t be better. We wanna go back!

Randall gave us a warm welcome in his lovely Brooklyn home. Everything was clean and well prepared for us. We felt really home and free to do whatever we wanted. Randall was a very uncomplicated host. His home is only a eight minute walk from the subway and therefore like around 15 minutes from Manhattan. We would come here again if we ever come back to New York. Still: if you come here you should not have any problems with dogs as there are two of them around: Sadie (you will know her from the picture) and Sunny (a very tiny little Dachshund who loves to be cuddled). We enjoyed living in Brookly and therefore get to know a little more than "only" Manhattan.
P.S.:Having breakfast on the little "balcony" (emergency exit) in front of our room was the nicest extra.
It was a wonderful 4 week (!!) stay in Randall's charming Brooklyn apartment! There was enough space, everything was clean, bathroom is really nice and the bed is great! The area is really nice, Prospect Park is amazing and the subway is really close! So, everyone: Go and live at Randall's apartment, I really recommend it! And above all: Randall is a real cool, wonderful nice guy who will tell you lots about Brooklyn, New York and everything, we had lots of talks, even met him once in Manhattan. So. highly recommended! And we really got to love his sweet dog Sadie. Best regards to Sadie by the way and thanks for everything!
First of all; Randy is a very nice and easy going host and I felt very welcome at his place. The surroundings is very nice as well with only a few minutes to Prospect Park and ok distance to the subway. The house and apartment is an old hotel and you can feel the atmosphere from 'the good old days'. Randy has a good taste - I think - in interior of his home: Simplicity and clean. I can highly recommend his Sunny room. I must also mention that the bike that goes with the room is also a valuable asset if you like to see Brooklyn from the roadside.
Randy was a wonderful host! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He took time to give us suggestions on places to eat and visit, and even helped us with the subways, and finding ways to get to all the places we wanted to visit.
His apartment was extremely clean, and the room we rented was large and filled with light. It had an air conditioner, two large windows, and a nice, comfortable full-sized bed. He provided us with plenty of extra blankets, and clean towels.
We also had full use of his small but well equipped kitchen!
The apartment was about a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest subway, and you could choose to walk down a street of brownstones, or a more bustling street of restaurants, delis, and stores.
We would recommend staying with Randy for anyone wanting a real Brooklyn experience.
Randy is a great friend of mine. He is kind person and has the best energy. His dog is the sweetest girl and makes you smile. Randy will help you feel at home and he makes the best exploded chicken pot pie!
I have known Randy since i was a child. Randy is definitely the type of person you want to stay with. He is honest and trustworthy. I would say any traveler would fit in perfectly with him, especially dog lovers.
