Fabio is a great host. Very helpful and very understanding. The place and the neighbourhood are also fascinating. Calm and cozy. These things turned our journey into a very great time.
Friendly and welcoming host. The room was decent and with good bus connections to the city center and the central station.
Fabio was very helpful before and during my stay. The flat was clean and close to all amenities, 5min walk to the supermarket, a bank, and the Metro. From here one can travel to almost all the main attractions in Rome. I would recommend to stay here! :) Thanks Fabio for all your help and thanks again for your hospitality.
Fabio is one of the best hosts I have ever met! He is very careful, available and polite. He picked us up at the airport to drop us at his apartment, which is clean, spacious, comfortable and tidy. Still, gave us a gift as a warm way to say "benvenuto"! He taucht us not only where to buy cheaply, to eat nearby but also some local History and how to commute without headaches. I recommend him very much!
Was a good place to stay.Very near to the center and at an affordable price.
Fabio was very accomodating during our stay; he was able to pick us up ad drop us off at the airport. The apartment was very clean upon arrival and kept clean throughout our stay. The apartment was also located minutes from the Porta Furba metro stop, which made getting around Rome quick and easy.
The villa is in a sleepy town (we rented off season) a bus ride from Rome. The bus costs 2.20 euro and takes about 40 minutes to get to Rome (you then have to get a metro into the centre) and you should check the timetable as they finish at 9:30pm.
Fabio was a very helpful host and was responsive to our needs.
We had a great time, the place was lovely and peaceful and suited our needs perfectly. It was ideal for a few weeks relaxation as winter started to hit London!
A few tips
Benny's is a bar about 5 minutes walk from the villa and has a great selection of beer and wine.
The local market comes on Monday's just outside Benny's and is great for fruit and veg
If you are in Italy for a while, a wind mobile sim card will give you 10Gb of data and lots of minutes and texts. The 3g signal for me was as good as wifi I've experienced elsewhere.
The beach can seem difficult to access as there are beach clubs along it. You can actually just walk through most and the beach itself is free to access.
You might want to bring mosquito spray, although this is probably applicable to anywhere nearby!
Fabio is a great guy. Very nice and helpful. He gave us good directions for getting around and even came out of his way to pick us up in Rome when we missed the bus. The villa is a little far from Rome (about 45 min to an hour on the bus and then the metro into the city centre) but it is do-able. The last bus back is kind of early (2130) but if you talk to Fabio before hand you can plan for him to pick you up, for a small fee, so you don't have to rush. We were there in the off season so the beach was pretty empty except for a few surfers, it's not too far and there were some bikes to use but we just walked. The villa itself was cosy, there's a balcony in one of the bedrooms but the whole place could have used a good scrubbing and dusting. There was also no wifi, but a desktop computer with Internet access to plan things or check email. If you are looking for a place to relax and make a few trips into the Roma this would work, if you want your holiday to be all about The city and sightseeing then maybe find something closer.
Fabio accepted our booking at very short notice for which we were very grateful. The house is spacious and comfortable and very convenient for the airport.
It was nice to host you
