We loved the terrace!!! The view was so absolutely great! And also the appartement was so nice. We felt really at home. Seven floors stairs were hard, but worth to climb it. The spanish quarter is special but all the people were very friendly and it is an napolitan experience. Next time in Naples we would love to come back to this appartement.
We couldn't meet Vittorio, but were nicely welcomed by a friend of him, who picked us up at the bus station.
The flat is absolutely wonderful, and the view is spectacular (and it has to be, since it's on the 7th floor with no elevator) !
Except some little technical problems in the flat (lightbulb missing in the bedroom, we couldn't make the oven work...), the stay was fantastic.
A recommander !
If you want to stay in the Spanish Quarters and have one of the best views of all Naples, this is the place to book.
Do not go for other B&B or hotels in the Spanish Quarters that promise incredible views etc... because......they don't....
Arriving in the heat and the hustle and bustle of Naples after a long day of traveling, Vittorio picked us up at the bus stop and guided us through the narrow, winded streets up to the house. Climbing the 7 sets of stairs with the suitcases (if you can, travel light!) was hard work, but so worth it. The apartment is modern, individual and had everything we needed and more. The view from the terrace is really spectacular and sitting up there, above the roofs, listening to the mopeds, the chatter, the dogs barking, the ships coming in to the harbour and the seagulls on their evening flight - we couldn't have had a better welcome to this amazing city.
We had a brilliant stay and every evening, after the long walks through the city, coming up to our rooftop apartment was a great feeling. Vittorio was very helpful and easy to communicate with and we all loved our stay at this place. We would definitely stay there again.
Vittorio's place is AMAZING! The terrace and the view from the terrace are worth the cost of a night's stay, alone. The whole apartment is very open, bright, breezy and just plain fabulous. We struggled to find it a bit, and lugging luggage around the narrow and step-filled streets of the Spanish quarter isn't ideal, but his neighbors were so nice and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Vittorio was so friendly when we arrived and made us feel right at home.
Tourist books will say to watch out for the Spanish Quarters in naples, especially at night, but I would go as far to say that it felt even safer in the neighborhood at night, and I never felt unsafe. In fact, there were always tons of people around and it was incredibly lively.
This place was a highlight of our two weeks in Italy.

We had an amazing time in Vittorio's appartment! The place could not be better located, everything is within walking distance, the views are magnificent and the appartment itself is very well decorated. A previous comment describes the area as dodgy but it is not the case at all! We were two young women alone and absolutely never felt threatened, even when we came back home after midnight. There were families and children in the streets until late at night, so we could not have felt safer. We definitely recommend the place for an amazing stay in Naples.
We had a great time staying at Vittorio's apartment- the view from the terrace was even more spectacular than we imagined. Vittorio was very helpful with a project we were working on for university and also gave us some good tips on where to eat great pizza! The flat was furnished with everything we could of needed for the week and Vittorio helpfully met us at the airport bus stop to ensure we found the place ok. Overall a great week and hopefully we will return in the future!
Can't really say much about Vittorio as a guest, he arranged it for his sister. So the review doesn't really reflect on him. I can say that communication with Vittorio was good. After booking though, I got his sister's contact info, contact there was difficult, there was no contact (reply) until the day before she left. It was unclear to the last moment what time she was arriving (Vittorio helped out there though, thanks) and so I wasn't able to welcome her myself, but arranged for a friend to do this and to show her the house. He told me they were a very nice couple with a lovely child and arrived on schedule. They left quite a few things lying around the apartment, but other than that, no arguments here, fine guests. As for Vittorio, good communication!
Vittorio is one of my best friends, my work colleague and very often the host of the best dinners in town. We are both architects, and work at the same studio (take a look at (website hidden)), in the city centre. He is committed (as architect and PhD) to the regeneration of the city. He loves hospitality, fun and good time.
