An American who fell for a Brit and married in 2009 coming to live in England. We found this 400 year old home and converted 3 rooms for letting - the Armada room is our best room with new en-suite shower room and you gaze up at the old ceiling beams from a modern 4 poster double bed. I really enjoy running this B&B with my husband Derek in beautiful East Sussex. A new venture for us from May 2011 and we have already won TripAdvisor Gold award and Tourism South East silver for best B&B in South East England. We love hosting and sharing this 400 year old house and I love inventing new recipes for mini muffins for breakfast and different cakes for afternoon tea for you on arrival.
We are in the charming conservation village of Sedlescombe with a restaurant and pub 150 yards up the road and local shop. We are close to Hastings, Rye and Battle (1066 and all that) and many National Trust properties are a 10 to 25 min drive, including Bodiam and Sissinghurst Castles and Rudyard Kipling's home at Batemans. If gardens are your passion we have Great Dixter, Pashley Manor and Hole Park all within 20 mins drive. Enjoy open fires in Winter and our charming walled garden in Summer -the perfect spot to relax and enjoy luxurious old world charm with wi-fi and DVDs included.
