This apt is located in the beautiful upper west side. We were very close to the B and C lines of the subway. The pickup/dropoff went very smoothly and Sally was very responsive when we had questions or asked for recommendations. The apt is a little different than the one pictured, but my guess is those pics are another unit in the same building, it is so similar. Having a coffee pot, sink, refrigerator was very nice. However, there was not an iron and ironing board (but we made do and didn't request one so she may have been able to accommodate had we asked). I made the mistake of assuming that we could checkout and leave our bags at the travel office, but apparently that is only available when the office is open on weekdays. My fault, since I didn't ask. So if you are planning to checkout on a weekend be sure to pre-arrange a late checkout (fee applies) with Sally since you will not have anything to do with your bags after checkout. We stayed until 2 pm for an extra fee and it was really nice so we had another half day to do things around the area. Luckily the next guest wasn't scheduled to arrive yet so it was nice to have that extra time before leaving for the airport. Overall, a great experience!!
The Georgeous Sunny Studio was very clean, nice ambience and quiet.
Neighborhood was safe and there are many restaurants and shops around.
Very near by Central Park and the Museum of Natural History.
Subways are also in a view minutes reachable.
We hade a great time in NYC and for two People it was a perfect location. Thank you, Sally.
Sally's flat was exactly what we wanted from an NYC AirBnB experience. Conveniently located and authentic. The neighborhood is surprisingly quiet. In late September it got quite hot in the flat, but there is air-conditioning, although a very noisy one. The wifi worked great, even once you're outside the house. The flat was very clean. Convenience store and restaurants just around the corner, Starbucks 5 minutes away. If you have heavy luggage, be warned that there's no elevator. We were able to check in early but for a $95.00 fee. Sally was very helpful and I would love to stay there again.
We had a great time in this upper west gem.
The location is great, and the apartment is full of charm (the apartment is much bigger and nicer than in the pictures!)
Getting in and out was smooth. The apartment was very clean, with ample towels, sheets and blankets. The A/C cooled the whole place (not trivial in these old brownstones).
We highly recommend this place to anybody wanting to feel the upper west, and to be 2 minutes from the park.
Sally made us feel very welcome and the apartment was great, just what we needed and in a great location.
This apartment was perfect. Plenty of room and two large beds. The major pluses are the excellent location right in the midst of the wonderful Upper West Side, very near museums, Lincoln Center, Central Park and subways; and how incredibly quiet the apartment was. There was some construction going on at the entrance to the building next door, but you could hear a pin drop in the apartment it was so quiet. The air conditioning was excellent (we even had to turn it down a bit, it worked so well). We did not have any issues, so did not need to contact Sally other than for picking up the keys, which was easy. However, it is a fourth floor walk-up, so would not be accessible for someone who cannot climb stairs. Also, as noted before, the cable TV is limited to broadcast channels, but otherwise worked fine.
Unit was in a great location, clean, and safe. The night we arrived the unit was extremely hot. We turned on the window unit AC, but it was broken. We sweat all night. We notified our host that night via text and heard back around 9:30 the next morning. Someone was supposed to come fix it that day, but that didn't happen. Also, the foldout bed that our son was sleeping in (which was clean and nice) was, unfortunately, in the corner of the room right by the noisy AC unit. We hd to leave the shutters open all night to get any circulation and hang up a towel in the window to keep the light from the street from pouring in. In general communication with host was a little lagging.
Sally was very attentive and made her best to fulfill our needs. The apartment, although not being exactly the same appearing in the site, was very similar to the one announced and was very pleasant. The neighborhood was excellent, localized in a nice and convenient region of Manhattan.
Sally's Appartment was ok. Very clean. Sally was easy to reach and was dispo bible for our questions. The Appartment is quite well situated. Close from metro and shop and bar/ restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. We had good time.
