The key was easy to pick up and walking distance to the apartment. The location was great for us, so close to Central Park, the two railway lines and the Museum of Nat. Hist. The apartment was equipped with what we needed. It would be crowded for 4 as once the couch is folded out there isn't much room but was fine for 2 littlies and an adult. I'd stay here again. There was no traffic noise and we woke up to hearing birds chirping. Was lovely. The notes left on local eateries and food was helpful, thank you.
Great location. A few buildings east of the corner of 83rd St and Columbus Ave., you are steps from Central Park and the Natural History Museum. There is close proximity to several transit options and restaurants in the area are plentiful. The building is relatively quiet and felt quite safe. Accommodations are simple, with the interior showing definite signs of its age. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything necessary to dine in. Hot water in the shower is scarce and makes it hard for two people to use successively without careful planning. The large south facing windows drench the apartment with natural light, but lack screens and therefore make it challenging to open for ventilation without attracting unwanted visitors. We stayed during a heat wave and the window AC unit had not yet been installed. The check-in/out process was very easy and a short walk from the apartment. There was no iron & board in the apartment and none was delivered despite several requests.
The apartment is within walking distance to Central Park and the subway. There are many fine restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and markets nearby too. Sally was responsive and made us feel welcomed in NY. We enjoyed our visit very much!
This place was awesome. Just a block off the park, easy to get to the subway, central location. Pleasant people and very accommodating! Meet all my needs! And it's quiet!
Great place to stay while in the city! Would definitely stay again!
Great place that suited needs perfectly. Location is nice and quiet while also near to subway and restaurants. Sally was friendly and communication was clear. Would recommend this property.
The apartment was very welcoming. It was just as it looked in the photos. The space was great. There were 6 of us and it did not feel crowded at all. That toilet is a trip, but we all thought it was pretty cool. There's a small problem with the hot water knob in the shower but we learned to deal with it. And when the hot water went out all together, Sally sent someone right away to fix it. The wifi did go in and out a few times. The neighborhood is great. There are many bars and restaurants close by and a few subway stations just a few blocks away. And I really loved being so close to Central Park, it's less than a block away. The stairs are a bit of a trek but worth it after enjoying all the food adventures we went on. I will definitely consider this listing the next time I go back to New York.
Wonderful. Exactly as pictured, and immaculate. Pick up at alternate address was easy and only a few blocks away. Very quiet and only four flights of stairs.
