Ich betreibe seit Mai 2012 das Café Frau Krüger, in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zum hier angebotenen Apartment.
Silke's apartment is really clean and matches perfectly with the pictures. Everything was ok, except some noises at the morning due to some works on the street. Otherwise, our host was really nice and make sure everything went well during our stay. If you need a place to stay at Prenzlauerberg for a week end, it's the perfect spot !
Silke was very friendly in communication through mail. She answered all the questions we had before the arrival in Berlin. The day of arrival we could easily get the key of the studio in Silke's 'Frozen yoghurt' cafe next door. A woman working there let us in as Silke herself was not there for the weekend. We only saw Silke on the last day of our stay as we always went out early and came back late from our city tripping in Berlin when the cafe was already closed. We mostly loved the location of the studio. It's situated in Prenzlauer Berg which is a very lively and easy going neighborhood with a lot of playgrounds and a lot of children:-). Our daughter loved it. Concerning the studio we were a bit disappointed. Whether we didn't read well the description, whether the pictures gave us another idea.... But we expected the studio to be bigger. The pictures gave us the idea there was one living room (with small kitchen) and one separate bedroom. Traveling with a three year old a separate bedroom was what we actually needed, but we ended sleeping altogether. So there was no real living room, only sleeping room (2 sofas for the 3 of us). The sofa you can see on the picture is in front of another sofa which were both unfolded to sleep. The kitchen is not so useful to cook a whole meal. It's just enough to prepare breakfast. So we went out every night to a restaurant, came home late and went to bed altogether as we all slept in the same small room. The studio is located on the ground floor. Luckily it had rolling shutter. Also the street is a very quiet one. You can see the flat is quite new (new bathroom, windows, floor, etc.). In fact the studio is an annex of the cafe. Silke is not living here. She is just renting the place to tourists. You can feel in the studio nobody is actually living there. That's okay, but the place itself was not clean because of former visitors. In the kitchen plates, glasses and knifes were still dirty. Under the bed we found a sock full of dust. The kitchen cupboards were sticky inside and outside. But after one day we forgot about this and lost ourselves in the Berlin city life;-).
Lovely stay here, listing exactly as described. Helpful host, very easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.
The host was lovely and communication fantastic. Her little cafe next door to the apartment is gorgeous. The apartment is perfect for a short break in Berlin and the location in a fabulous vibrant area of the city with lots of restaurants and cafes. Loved it and it was excellent value for money. We will be going back. Thanks Sille.
The apartment was just right for us 4 guys. We were having a school/ college reunion after 2 years and it was awesome to be in such a cozy apartment. Silke has really taken a lot of care to ensure that we get a nice apartment. It is rather modest in size but when you are with friends it is actually that much better. The bathroom was clean and apt, the wardrobe was generous enough, the living room was airy because of the large 2 windows. It also helped to be on the ground floor and right next to Silke's Kruger Cafe, the early morning coffee aroma was awesome. The facilities and supplies were more sufficient and when we asked for a fan Silke immediately fulfilled our request. The apartment is a bit of a walk (14 mins) from Schonhauser allee, where all the action is. So I would recommend to hire a bicycle, it was good fun too. It is in a lovely, quaint and respectable residential locality. A big thank you to Silke for hosting us. We truly enjoyed the stay in Berlin. :)
Very nice modern apartment in a cool area of the city. The apartment is very clean and furnished well (even had some food stuffs in the cupboards). It's at the end of a residential street near a park so quite quiet and peaceful but really close to lots of cafes and restaurants. Definitely recommended.
A great stay in Silke's apartment offering a very good quality for price : clean, well equipped and located in the lively & cosy district of Prenzlauerberg! Silke was very responsive and super flexible for the check-in/check-out . I can just highly recommend it!
slike was a great guest. obrigado!
