Hi, I am a friendly middle age lady. I like traveling in China and Hong Kong, cooking, reading and movie goer. I am so glad to welcome my guest from all around the world!!
The apartment was very clean and modern and we had a good stay there. The location was great. The only downside was that it was advertised as having a sofabed, which it didn't. But Carol was lovely and other than that a good stay.
I have been to HK many times to visit family. KK's place is as described. While small, it has a decent bed with nice memory foam pillows, a clean bathroom, and a small kitchenette. There is also a TV and good wi-fi. It is comfortable for couples or close friends, but would be too small for anything more. You will need to bring your own toiletries. Small towels are provided, but I would also recommend bringing your own.
Communication was easy. I did not have a cell phone, but I was able to contact Carol (who keeps the key) using the courtesy phones at the airport. She was friendly and met me on-time to let me into the apartment. Check-out was also easy, and I was allowed to arrange late check-out without problem.
The building seems safe, as there is a guard at the front door, and there are 2 additional locked gates before you get to the apartment. It is located on a relatively quiet street, but it is also close to all the activity -- short walk to Jordan MTR, and if you're not in a rush, you can also walk up & down Nathan Rd (very close) to Mong Kok or Tsim Sha Tsui, where you can then take the Star Ferry to Central or Wan Chai). There are a number of Korean restaurants on the street (did not try any of them), a Park&Shop grocery store, and a couple of bakeries nearby.
When I visited, the weather was unusually cold. There was a small space heater provided, but I did not notice it in the closet until toward the end of my stay !
Lastly, unrelated to the apartment : if you take a taxi to the apartment, don't let the driver cheat you. I was naive and too tired after my trans-Pacific flight to question my unreasonably inflated fare. Make sure to confirm that the ride should only be ~$200 at the beginning, and if it's significantly more at the end, ask for a receipt and write down the license number.
Overall, a great trip and a good value !
We stayed in Hong Kong for a few nights in Feb. Kk Sin's apartment was really nice, clean, fresh and modern just like in the photos and with a good hot shower. It also felt very secure. The location is superb with easy access to everywhere we wanted to go: Hong Kong Island, night markets, Kowloon, metro, supermarkets - it's a great base. KK Sin was very helpful and we were even able to check out late on the occasion we stayed. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
Host was wery easy to get in touch with. The flat was exactly as expected, very good condition and location and very quiet at night.
I will recommend this flat without any reserve.
KK was extremely helpful and answered all my questions very promptly.
The apartment was just as advertised. The hosts were great and helpful. The location is just incredible. Central to Tsim Sha Tsiu and only minutest walk to the MTR. This was the first time I used Airbnb and I'm impressed.
Just downstairs is a park-n-shop (the local supermarket), and two 7-Elevens.
This apartment accommodated myself, my wife and my 10 month old son (in a port-a-cot), so it was small but still accommodated a family of 3.
Great location. Great host. Great short term accommodation.
We had a great stay in the apartment. Clean, nice hot shower, comfy beds, great location - closer to the MTR than expected. The only criticism is that the apartment lacks cooking utensils. We would definitely stay there again if we return to HK and I would recommend it to others.
KK Sin Ho and his assistant Carol were very understanding when our flight was cancelled and we arrived much later than we had planned. The apartment was clean and fairly spacious by Hong Kong standards. The balcony was also very nice. It is conveniently located the MTR, which is the most efficient way to get around to Hong Kong. It is a little difficult to get to from the airport express station by taxi if you don't speak Cantonese. FYI there was not very many kitchen utensils (2 forks, 2 bowls, no pan/skillets/toaster) if you planned to cook during your stay!
Good location with easy access to MTR, quiet street but lots of eateries. The flat is small but contains all the basic facilities. Host is very friendly and allows us to check out late in order to meet our flight schedule.
Thanks KK and Carol for a wonderful stay. We really enjoyed this apartment. Perfect location, comfortable beds. We highly recommend it and will be suggesting our friends stay here on future trips to Hong Kong.
