I'm a writer and digital content strategist (read: SEO and online advertising specialist for magazines and newspapers) currently living with my husband in New Hampshire. In my spare time I love teaching and researching medieval history and 19th century British literature.
I joined AirBnB because I think the best part of travel is meeting people, and it's terribly hard to form even a transient connection with people when staying in a hotel. Years of New York roommates have shown me that when widely disparate people come in contact, something interesting is sure to follow.
Though I'm fairly widely traveled and have lived in many cities and several countries, the one that's had the biggest impact on me is Moscow, where I lived and worked in the fall of 2008. I returned to New York via Paris and lived in Brooklyn until 2011, when my husband and I bought a house in New Hampshire. Now we're going on the greatest adventure of our lives, and relocating permanently to Berlin, Germany.
Once we finally get settled in Berlin, we'll start being AirBnB hosts as well as guests. Meanwhile we strive to treat each host's home as though it were our own.
