If you do not like strangers in your property, do not take their money. I hold my hands up our 3-year old did break a table lamp. Embarrassing and irritating. Which was made a whole lot worse by the owner’s reaction. Very clear irritation, annoyance, and then a demand for money that was completely unsubstantiated (“I imagine it will cost me £150 to replace, please send the cheque to…”). Our child’s accident treated as an abhorrent breach of protocol. I have rented accommodation in the Uk for 20 years and not encountered this sort of demeanour from an owner before. It somewhat marred what was an otherwise enjoyable week - oh bar the lack of curtains in the bedroom !!!
Beautiful cottage in a lovely remote village. Only 15-20 minute drive to beautiful beaches. The cottage is 17thc with very thick walls so does get cold even in summer, but the wood burning stove in the lounge makes it very cozy. There is a lovely big flat grass garden, ideal for cricket with the kids. All in all a lovely base to explore Dorset.
We had a great, 3-night stay in Dan's flat in Westminster recently. It was our first trip to London, and the located of the flat in Westminster cannot be beat. The flat is located on a quiet block, only a block or so away from the Underground station, and only a few blocks walk away from some great sights like St. James' Park, Westminster Abbey, and Big Ben.
Using the Underground is simple, and we were able to take it to East London with ease to catch a Barclays Premier League football game. Awesome time!
As others have stated, the flat is located near a school, so on the weekdays do you hear a bit of noise in the morning before the school day starts and also around recess time. But it really wasn't a bother to us. We found the area to be really peaceful and quiet throughout much of the day and night.
Dan was great with communicating with us before our stay, and he was even flexible with our check in time. We appreciate that!

Perfect position! Wonderful apartment, comfy bed, great shower, lovely sitting room with fireplace. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful stay, perfect for a guest we were hosting from Germany. Dan was prompt with inquiries, polite and everything was very much in order. Apartment was quiet, very conveniently located to transport and the Westminster area, and I would recommend to any other AirBnB users.
Dan's flat is lovely, airy, and has beautiful light. It's on a quiet street in a very nice part of Westminster, and I had absolutely no issues during my weeklong stay. The wifi is fast, the appliances were easy to figure out, and I slept like a log all week (and I usually have trouble sleeping)!
The tube is less than 5 minutes away and Dan gave very detailed info about where to shop and eat in the neighborhood, so I never felt like I was at loose ends to find what I needed.
The only two tips I have for others are that if you are there to work and will be coming back after 5, be aware that many of the closest area businesses close around that time (and on the weekends) since they cater mainly to businesspeople. If you want a quick meal after 5 or 6PM your best bets are the local pubs or a short walk to the bigger grocery (Sainsbury's) or restaurants on Wilton Rd.
The other tip: in case you need to empty the garbage over the weekend (the caretaker picks up the garbage between 8 and 9AM on weekdays) the bins are located through the back of the first floor and to the far left outside in a small enclosure.
Prefect stay and highly recommended for work or vacation!
Very nice flat in a great location. The rooms are snug but well appointed and comfortable. The working gas fireplace was a plus. Very quiet area. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Dan was very helpful; the instructions he had printed out gave all the information you'd want to have. We'd definitely stay there again..
We had a wonderful stay at Dan's apartment. It was lovely and clean. Dan was a great host, friendly and helpful with carrying our bags up the stairs to the apartment on our arrival.
The kitchen had all the necessities required to cook a meal and there was a supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. The sitting room had a good sized table and the couches were comfy to relax on after a day out.
The area itself is perfectly located only a short walk to either St James Park Station or Victoria Station. The bathroom is big and the shower is hot with excellent pressure.
There was really nothing to fault with our stay and I would definitely stay again.
