The cozy cottage was absolutely perfect- my best Airbnb experience yet! You could really see the thought and care that Kim and Kelly put into the cottage. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed the hot tub, grilling on the porch with the beautiful view, and some of the nearby hiking trails (Bear Creek and Amicalola). Beautiful, beautiful place- can't wait to come back!
My husband and I stayed in the Cozy Camper while we were in Ellijay hiking in Amicalola Falls and Fort Mountain State Park. It was my first time staying in an RV and it had all the necessities for a comfortable & novel evening. Our dog liked it too!
The cozy cottage was great! It was clean, spacious, and even had some board games for us to play. There was a ton of stars at night which were amazing to look at. We had a great stay!
My husband and I had such a warm and welcoming experience at this cottage. We were greeted with a handwritten note and a bottle of wine - it was a very nice touch. The cottage was very clean and cozy. Overall, very accurate to the description! Would recommend to anyone :)
This is the perfect getaway for one or two people looking to go into the mountains and relax. My boyfriend and I spent one night in the cozy cottage and it was adorable. Everything is exactly as advertised and check in was an absolute breeze. Kim welcomed us with a cute card and a complimentary bottle of wine. Her directions were perfect and very easy to follow although it would probably be difficult to find in the dark. Thank you!! We would definitely recommend and return.
We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Camper...it was very clean...had everything we needed...Kimberly was quick to respond if we had a question...we hope to return soon.
Upon arriving at the cozy cottage we were greeted by two very friendly dogs, oregano and basil. Kim and Kelly had the cottage all ready for our arrival. We spent our first night in the hot tub and we were amazed at how many stars were in the sky and how close they felt to us. Our mornings consisted of watching the beautiful sun rise from second floor
deck. During the day we were greeted by two cute friendly goats. We enjoyed a nice walk through the valley and had a nice relaxing picnic in the woods that surrounded the cottage. We found the cottage to be very cozy with space heaters, a comfortable bed, and a great addition in the bathroom with a multi colored flickering lighted shower head.
Thank you Kim and Kelly for sharing your home with us and for the complimentary bottle of wine. We had a memorable weekend...
The cottage was excellent and well kept. You can look around and tell they really care about their guests being comfortable. They even left us a note and a bottle of wine welcoming us there. Check in was easy and they're VERY respectful of your privacy. We were able to bring our greyhound as well which worked out perfectly. If you're animal people then you'll love the welcome wagon and house guests (they're all friendly).
Directions were excellent and you shouldn't have any issues finding it. Don't overthink it!
There's plenty to do around the area, especially if you enjoy the outdoors.
Cozy cottage was the perfect place to get away for a weekend! The cabin is new and nicely furnished. Highly recommended to those looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful Chattahoochee National forest.
Thanks for being so accommodating!
Staying at the Cozy Cottage in Ellijay, GA was a wonderful experience! Kimberly was kind enough to make us some delicious homemade pecan turtles that were waiting for us upon our arrival. Check in as well as check out were straight forward and simple. The cottage was immaculate and comfortable. We were fortunate to be there for the first snow of the season and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and serenity of the location as well as star gazing from the hot tub.
We were very thankful for the directions and notes Kimberly provided to get to the cottage otherwise we would have gotten lost and missed out on some important road condition details. If you have a 4WD vehicle it will definitely come in handy as there are a few steep climbs to the cottage on a gravel road but our Nissan held up well though I'm not sure it would have made it in heavy snow fall.
Kimberly has a handbook with general information about the area and plenty of brochures in the cottage. I will list a few helpful details for you anyway.
There is an Ingles and a Food Lion grocery store about a 15 min drive away from the cottage which I suggest stopping by on your way up if you plan on cooking. Though there is no true kitchen there are plenty of kitchen gadgets to make up for it including a griddle, small crock pot, rice cooker, microwave, toaster and grill. There is a cute pub in downtown Ellijay called Jilly's that has live music and is a fun place to hang out on a Saturday night though there is always a party in the cottage shower if you prefer to stay in. :) If you like hikes Fort Mountain State Park is about 10 miles further north on Hwy 52 and offers some big views of the nearby mountain ranges. There are plenty of cute little shops in downtown Ellijay to pick up knick knacks or head to one of the nearby orchards for canned goods to take home and share with loved ones.
Overall, it was a relaxing getaway in the mountains and I highly recommend staying here. In case you see the goats take advantage of feeding them a cracker or two! It was the most adorable thing we did on our trip to Georgia.
