Our stay at Lulu's lovely apartment couldn't have been better! She is an extremely thoughtful and accommodating host, who helped us with everything she could - even carrying our luggage when we arrived and when we left. The decoration is very tasteful, and the location is fabulous - very close to Zabar's, Central Park, some of the best restaurants in NYC, and just two blocks away from the train station. I would like to thank Lulu for contributing so much for our pleasant stay in NYC.
We had a wonderful week at Luisa's place. I was working in NY and my husband was with me on vacation. Perfect location for downtown to work and all the sights.
The apartment is all it promises in the pictures and description.
Luisa is a lovely host, very thoughtfully leaving essentials in the fridge on our arrival.
Next time I am back in NY I will certainly be contacting Luisa to see if her place is free.
What a great apartment! Perfect location in the Upper West Side, a block away from Natural History Museum and loads of great restaurants. Lulu was also an EXCELLENT host. Very helpful with tips about the neighborhood and other things to do in the city. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to the city!
We absolutely loved the apartment and Lusia is such a wonderful host. It is super clean, well stocked and perfectly located near Central Park and great restaurants. She even bought us milk, coffee, cream and juice! The apartment is decorated very stylishly exactly like the photos. Her brownstone is very clean and quiet. I am very particular and I highly recommend this apt. It is way cheaper than any hotel and you can live like a New Yorker. Thank you, Lulu! We had a great time.
Coordination was a breeze, and the apartment was great. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable, well decorated, and fully stocked with anything we could've needed. The location could not be better, and we had a great time. Thanks Lulu!
My girlfriend and I spent a great week in New York with this apartment as our base. It's not big, but contains everything that you need. Great area, hotelroom standard and lots of freedom. I recommend it!
I had a great stay at Lusias apartment. The location was really good. Safe neighbourhood, lots of good restaurants and bars within a few blocks walking distance. Central Park ist just one block away. Also good connection to the subway system! The apartment itself was exactly as you can see it in the photos. Lusia even filled the fridge up with some water, chocolate and cereals. I felt very much at home there. Lusia is a great host. She answered all of my questions - before and during my stay - quickly. She was reachable via phone and email.
Thank you so much for making my stay so pleasant Lusia. I can totally recommend the place!
Lulu was very kind. Even that we arrived very late around midnight she waited for us and left us some food and drink. The apartment is exactly as described, and perfectly located near lots of pubs, bars and restaurants and metro. I will really recommend this apartment.
Well equipped, comfortable apartment in a convenient location with a great local neighborhood vibe. Lulu is very helpful.
Lulu is a genuine jewel. She does all that's possible to make your stay amenable. Uncalled for, Lulu bought food and beverages for us and helped us find a parking space. She checked in during our 4-day stay to see if we needed anything. One can't ask for a better hostess.
Pros: it's in the Upper West Side, a few blocks from the excellent NYC subway system; two blocks from Central Park and within easy walking distance of great museums and art halls. It's close to dining, drinking and shopping (just around the corner). There are adequate amenities in the apartment. Then there's Lulu herself!
Cons: off-on parking on the street and cars can pin you in (we took our rental car to a garage four blocks away at $50/day -- to keep it from being damaged, but you don't want a car in NYC; the apt. is in a historic building, meaning that it is being restored at times in the hallways, etc.; the interior is funky and old and in some spots a little run down, but clean; the main bed, while comfortable, is in a dark alcove with no bed table or reading light space. In other words, there are minor trade-offs with the place. For a hotel in Lulu's location you will pay considerably more. NYC is very expensive and worth it, so where you stay with comfort and a frig saves money.
Overall, considering we came to see NYC for four days/nights, Lulu's spot is decent enough and the price is fine. You can bring in groceries and wine and relax because once you're in the flow and intensity of the city, her personal space works fine.
Great guest! Very friendly, clean and communicative! It as a pleasure accommodating her, and we will gladly give our best recommendations to other hosts around the world!
I enjoyed hosting Lulu`s sister Helen. I guess Lulu have the same nice personality as her sister:) I would recomend !
Not only is Lusia very helpful if you are new to a city her apartment is always spotless. You can't go wrong with this ideal location too. Book this apartment before someone else does!
