Though I finished law school, I have never worked as a lawyer but rather chose to stay freelance (initially as a teacher of English in Bangkok, then a translator and interpreter in Prague), and finally as a film and music festival organiser in Prague and around the world. Currently I co-own Eventival, a company that created the world-leading film festival production software used mainly by film festivals in over thirty countries and more and more also other festivals and culture organisations.
Travelling and meeting people (NOT just socialising, of which I get plenty in the film industry) are naturally among my interests, though they have developed only when I began spending a lot of time abroad. Early on I was probably more attracted by nature than by people (scary insects as much as spectacular sunsets), but besides music and literature, I have not found anything more fascinating than real people. I also like cooking and tasting food all over the world.
Besides developing our company (I created and co-own it with my Korean partner Dawna), I am also producing a musical feature film written by Ron and Russell Mael of the LA band Sparks, and have after a long time restarted making music with my bandmate from high school.
