This was the perfect working holiday spot for my partner and me and it served as a wonderful home away from home. The eco cabin is located in the tiered garden so it is surrounded by trees and greenery and has its own patio. It is a fantastic combination of quiet and secluded, and centrally located. As we were busy working while in LA, it was the perfect place to work from as well as come home to!
This location in Echo Park was quite central for our needs, convenient to the freeways and the neighborhoods we frequented, and Elysian Park is right around the corner which was an amazing bonus-great for jogging and hiking. Echo Park itself is a fantastic neighborhood, we couldn't have been happier with this place.
Our hosts were very kind and thoughtful, we mostly communicated via email since our work schedules meant that we only met once during our time there. Their hospitality was wonderful, and any questions or concerns we had were quickly addressed.
I used to live in LA so the beautiful, super relaxed, and welcoming but autonomous cabin suited me. I loved the proximity to so many great spots in the neighborhood, DTLA, Silver Lake, Los Feliz, and Hollywood and starting each day with breakfast under the jacaranda tree, with the hummingbirds. I also appreciated the green aspects of the studio-the incinerating toilet was a completely new experience for me! In short, I was super happy there and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
This place is a total find. It's very private, in a lush garden behind the house. It's right next to Elysian park which is an awesome place to go for a run, and there are quite a few decent restaurants walking distance on Sunset.
Erin and her partner were perfectly charming hosts. Overall I totally recommend.
My brother and I had a wonderful stay at Erin's garden studio. It is very beautiful, simple, comfortable, and private. It is in Echo Park and very easy to get to any where you want. Lots of good food around. The incinerating toilet was a surprise, which would have been nice to know about beforehand, but it was easy to use and certainly a new experience! Erin left us bananas, granola, yogurt, and water - a nice treat for our leisurely mornings. We had a great stay. Thank you!
The Eco garden was an economic and pleasant stay. It's a cozy little space with the bare necessities. We had plenty of privacy and the location was convenient enough for our trip. Parking was also an easy task besides the fact the place is on a pretty steep hill. If you're gonna be high maintenance this is not for you. But if you're looking for a simple basic no frills location then this is the spot to be!
The Eco Garden Studio offers the best of both worlds: a private, quiet, tranquil little oasis that's very close to all the great cafes, bars and restaurants Echo Park has to offer. The hosts are super friendly but don't interfere with your stay unless you need them for something. Perfect for a writer or someone seeking seclusion to get work done. I had a great stay and I highly recommend it.

Erin's little cottage was the perfect escape for my husband and me. Perched in the hills above the artsy Echo Park district, it offered a beautiful little oasis surrounded by a garden and darting hummingbirds. Steps away from some lovely walks in Elysian Park, this modern wooden cottage was small but well-planned out; we looked forward to returning to its tranquil hillside perch in the hills every evening. It was a great way to experience the sights and sounds of L.A. But still have peace and tranquility. We will be back and would not hesitate to recommend it to others!
Loved this place! Erin and her family (and Beebo the dog!) are awesome and it was perfect for my one month stay. The incinerating toilet was a bit of a surprise and took some getting used to, but overall it was a really great little place, a private garden, and perfect in a cool part of town. Highly recommend!
What a special and lovely place. Erin is a wonderful host. I had complete privacy but everything I needed and she was extremely quick any time I had a question. The cabin is minimal and stylish. It's a very special little place and I miss it already. Highly recommended.
Great location, cute, functional, eco-friendly! Totally private in its own little world surrounded by yard and trees. Nice big patio out front. The price is right and the parking is easy! The incinerator toilet took a minute to adjust to but it was an easy adjustment and I'm now looking into getting one for an add-on project I'm considering! There's not a full kitchen but Erin willingly provided a toaster upon request and the granola, banana, yoghurt and coffee/tea was much appreciated. An overall great experience!! Thanks Erin!
