Hey, I'm Sandy!
New York, New York, United States · Member since October 2010

Hi,
I'm a cheerful, creative person who enjoys interesting, creative, and quiet people. I enjoy photography and architecture and interesting conversations. I was trained as an Architect, and have had my own business. I have been involved with the Occupy Wall Street movement since it started last Sept.

I appreciate a quiet lifestyle..I'm looking for longer stays over a few weeks, but email me if you see openings.I enjoy meeting professionals from all over the globe coming to NYC to visit and for work.

There are many interesting dining and recreational and cultural areas around my neighborhood, and people seem to love the quieter, tree lined streets, lined with beautiful, renovated brownstones- historically preserved, and the interesting cultural events and places in the neighborhood, like the Museum of Natural History, and Lincoln Center within walking distance. And then we have weekly flea markets and (email hidden) concert hall, with top performers 2 blocks away at the Beacon Theater. And if that's not enough, you can indulge in sidewalk cafes, and upscale food shopping all along Broadway 2 blocks away. And of course to exercise, jogging and visiting both Central Park and Riverside Park are a few blocks away too. But lastly the subways and buses are also a few blocks away, so you can head to anywhere within the city within a short time.

Please Note: * Can't receive guests on Thursdays between 2-6 pm, as I host a weekly Occupy tele-conference - if I do the show from my home.

Also please note that I have more recently become electro magnetically sensitive to wi fi's and wireless devises. This means I might sometimes turn off the wi fi before I go to sleep, or even unplug the microwave. I also have been known to turn off the water at night when I get too sensitized. I usually have it under control though and it shouldn't really impact your stay. It appears more and more people are becoming sensitized to wireless technologies like the smart meter that utility companies are putting on houses.

Please inquire about this sensitivity of mine. I'd be glad to share any information with you I can.

I will most likely be away for a good deal of the time this summertime...so you will enjoy the apartment to yourself, as the last few guests have, and I would prefer ONE PERSON to host..
.
