We have great lodging for your stay in Bali. Looking forward to hosting you via Airbnb.
The bamboo house is really a great experience and worth a stay. The pool is another big plus and there is nothing better than taking a bath in it after a hot day on bali. The only bad thing is the mosquitos as the bamboo house is open, so it feels a bit like sleeping in the jungle. Thus it might be a bit noisy at night and in the morning. You might need a scooter or car to explore the area around as it is a bit away from the center. Ketut picked us up from the airport and helped us with anything we needed. Great service. Thank you!
We stayed the last 5 days in Bali at the Bamboo House. The house is amazing and well designed with a very nice infinite pool. The garden was not really green due to problem with water pump. Made and Ketut will take care of you from the beeakfast to scooter renting. I did not like that the indication to reach the place was not updated; green mango warung is closed and you should just check for eyes' sign. Marcus the host did not provide any mobile phone to call Ketut so we had to ask to some local people. Unfortunately the villa just behind the pool is doing construction so was noisy from 8am to 6pm so we had to leave during the daytime to not get headache. By scooter you can reach Kuta or Geger beach in 50 minutes and in 5 minutes arrive in padang padang beach.. Go and try padang padang breeze warung for the best bbq. I would go back only if the construction will be finished due to the noise.
The place is beautiful the bungalow too. Like robinson crusoe. View is amazing as the pool. You feel like child on your own caban. The staff very sweet. The only black point was the noise by night. Scooter and dog all the night. As everything is open ( no real windows... But That s great) we hear everything and dont feel in nature but more in the citu. May be we had no luck..Day was more quiet. You can t do nothing by walk and need a motorbike. By motorbike everything close. I just gind the owner not really kind for the last night. We reserve 3 night, 4 dzys. We didnt know uluwatu. I was 7 month pregnant. There is a lot of stairs everywhere even in the bungalow ans everything must be do by motorbike ( no taxi in the street) so very difficulte for me. I said this to the owner and ask to cancelled the last night. But he was strict and dodnt want get back the money of the last day. We had to leave so ve careful about the night you reserve. Don t have right to mistake.
1) Early check in: Even though we reached 2 hours earlier, the on site staff quickly helped us to check in quickly
2) On that note, the staff really is wonderful even though it's just the 2 of them. There was a night where the wifi was down, and one of them came down to settle it quickly even though they weren't on site at that time.
3) The view is really amazing.
4) The grounds are very well maintained and the room was very clean as well
5) There were surfboards in the room that you can borrow! :)
1) You can't actually walk to the beaches, so if you're looking for a place with just a 5 min walk, this isn't it. HOWEVER, you could easily rent a scooter from the staff at RP60 000 per day. Was well worth it and we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. On scooter, Uluwatu temple was about 35 mins away and the beaches were on average about 10-15 mins away.
2) Upon booking, I didn't realize just how "open" the place was, so it was a little difficult to sleep because of noises made by insects and roosters throughout the night. It was a little difficult to adjust to at first, but the view, the service and the cleanliness of the room was more than enough to make up for that.
Oh and a tip: please make sure you use Marcus' directions as Jalan Labuansait is a pretty long road and you might otherwise miss the place.
On the whole, we really enjoyed our 2 nights here and we're extremely sad to leave. Top notch!
We spent three nights at ONE Bali, for two of them we got an upgrade to the bamboo house. Both, the Rondavel and the Bamboo House, are so beautiful, we enjoyed every moment there:) We didn´t meet the owner, but the staff is super nice. We were picked up at the airport, could rent a scooter at the house (which is definitely needed there!!!) and they arranged a driver to ubud, our next stop in Bali. Breakfast is delicious with everything you need. We would come back any time!
With a GPS in our rental vehicle we had little trouble finding the house thanks to Marcus' great directions. Upon arrival we were grateful to find the house provided a parking spot (often a luxury in Bali) and the very warm hosts, Ketut and Madi. We found the house to be quiet, clean and well stocked with beverages awaiting us in the fridge (for a small fee, but the convenience was worth it). We loved the views of the Indian Ocean from the home and infinity pool even more so. The home is located next to one other on the property, which also shares the pool and a commons area where breakfast is served (which I believe is also for a fee during your initial booking). The other home was rented during our stay but we didn't manage to cross paths -- so the rental is as secluded as you'd like it to be. We had a vehicle that allowed the luxury to eat where we'd like (and we ended up driving all over the island), but not much appeared to be within immediate walking distance. A car or scooter though will bring you some place great within in a few minutes. Also, I have heard many of the warungs deliver if you find a favorite while there. Enjoy your stay, we hope to return!
Amazing scenery, nice staff, great wifi, amazing pool, perfect place to relax.
Something must have been mixed up with the booking because we got assigned the bigger open bambo house (on the same property) instead of the smaller Rondavel which we had booked and seen pictures of in the listing.
The bamboo house is an open house, meaning that one side is completely open (as can be seen in the pictures for O.N.E's other listing) which really wasn't ideal for us since there were thunderstorms during our stay. Not only did we feel less safe in an open house, one night the strong winds made the rain blow straight into the house.
I believe that the Rondavel would be able to withstand the rain since that is a closed building, but I would not recommend staying in the bamboo house during rain season.
Absolutely loved staying in this beautiful bamboo house! The views are wonderful, the pictures do not do this place justice. A stand out for us was the amazing breakfast prepared every morning and the wonderful hospitality provided by Ketut (thank you). We verbally organised a taxi for the early morning departure with a local to the airport but were unsure it would show because in Australia a casual booking could go either way, the next morning Ketut was waiting just incase it didn't show to drive us. So wonderful and really made the experience less stressful.
Staying at the Rondavel was the best part of our three week trip in Bali. Marcus was very responsive online and Ketut and Made were lovely and helpful hosts on location. The Rondavel and grounds were exactly as depicted in the photos. Our breakfasts of delicious fruit salad and fresh mango juice, while looking out to the ocean, were the perfect way to start the day. Wifi was surprisingly good! The location was great - close to all the beaches and local restaurants (The Cashew Tree near Bingin Beach was our favourite). Even with another couple staying in the larger cottage, it was peaceful and very private. The only minor drawback was that it was a bit hot at night, even with the fan on and the windows open, but by no means unbearable.
The Villa was perfect located just minutes from the beautiful beaches of Uluwatu Temple. The infinity pool was perfect and the vicinity to best of best resorts was very convenient. Couldn't ask for a better last stop in Bali.
