Quirky girl from Massachusetts, love all kinds of music, friendly stray cats, other peoples' dogs, inspired by bold art, nature, and people who make me think. I daydream all the time about living somewhere warm, hopefully by the ocean so I can wear sundresses and sandals year-round. For now, I take advantage of all that DC has to offer...concerts, free museums, and wonderful restaurants.
Our home is in Arlington, part of the original grid for DC. It's essentially an extension of our nation's capital. You'll find authentic Ethiopian, Guatemalan, El Salvadorean and Southern American "soul food" along Columbia Pike, Arlington's original Main St.. We also live near Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse which shows movies on Monday Tuesdays and Wednesdays for $2 to $3 and comedy on the weekends. If you want a truly American experience, admission is FREE during American football season. Food and entertainment aside, the best perk is the expansive park at the end of our street, a literal runners and bicycle riders oasis.
Before becoming a mom, I traveled extensively and spent many nights in hotels or with host families, the latter being MUCH more preferable. I'm enjoying being on the other end as a host who can provide weary travelers with a good night's rest that is better than what you would get at a noisy chain hotel in the city. Come find out for yourselves what makes our home the "Best of Both Worlds."
