Hello! I'm a part-time adventurer/traveler, and a full-time hydroelectric scientist in Oregon. Usually I try to combine the two occupations, and its likely that right now I am trying to find a unique place to stay so I can turn my business trip into a little adventure on the side.
I'm very outdoors-oriented, and I enjoy a wide scale of sporty activies; something as laid-back as fly fishing is as enjoyable as something a bit more extreme, like bombing down the Cascade mountains on a mountain bike. I also should add that I am a bit of a soccer hooligan. I coach at one of the highschools in my city, play in a few adult leagues, and sometimes even watch the game on television.
Traveling is my favorite escape. I do a bit of international travel, and am trying to do more domestic travel. After all, the US is amazingly diverse in so many respects. Why not enjoy it a bit more? My most recent jaunt was a trip down to Buenos Aires. What an amazing city! I would have liked to stay longer in the cute litte (Airbnb) apartment I rented, but alas, reality called my home again.
I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and building relationships. Interacting with people and engaging in stimulating conversation are favorite past times. My M.O. when interacting with the people that life puts in front of me is to always be considerate, to always be a good listener, and to always be reliable. These little "rules" seem to go a long way, but in building friendships and building working relationships.
I look forward to meeting you!
