Certains diraient d'un naturel positif, aime rire , intéressée par toutes les innovations culturelles.
My surrounding would say that I'm of a positive nature, like to laugh, interested in all cultural innovations
Ryselaine and her family were wonderful hosts. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcome and at home. I visited Paris during Ramadan so the streets were lively when returning to the flat in the evening. The apartment was very close to the metro which made getting around incredibly easy. I would definitely recommend staying here.
C'st l'experience excellente. The room was great. a big window with a cool breeze in the evening. once I had found the place it was easy to get in and out.
I recommend arriving in the daytime.
Ryselaine was really very helpful and her mum even made me Ramadan soup! I was also able to have my washing done for just 5 euros.the area is very diverse and much cheaper than the rest of Paris. The apartment is a very short walk to Montmarte and Sacre Coeur. It really is a great area especially if you like to see really different culture. Highly recommended. Merci beaucoup Ryselaine. un grande pleasure...
I was staying in Paris for 2 days and Ryselaine made this stay very comfortable. Her place is definitely a great choice and it's so close from Gare Du Nord station.
Ryselaine and her mother were great. I was there for a week and they were very helpful and accomadating. They were both always smiling and had very sweet dispositions. The room was large with a mini fridge for snacks. Directly off the room was a bathroom for myself which was very convenient. Both rooms were very clean and spacious and private. The week flew by and the stay could not have been better.
The apartment is 2 blocks away from the Gare du Nord train station and makes it very convenient to get to central tourist locations and other parts of Paris depending on your needs. It was also within walking distance to Montmartre which is a great artsy, bohemian neighborhood. There were neighby convenience stores and a bakery a 1/2 block away for fresh croissants in the morning. There was also a bike share/ Vélib' right outside the apartment if that interests you.
I would recommend staying with Ryselaine and would do so again when I return to Paris.
I enjoyed a lovely week with Ryselaine and her extremely welcoming family. As someone who speaks only a little French communication was at times a little difficult with the mother who only speaks French but Ryselaine and her sister speak enough English to translate but all three of the family were extremely helpful. Ryselaine's mother was particularly hospitable, helping me with my washing, giving me Moroccan mint tea and even walking me down to Gare du Nord to catch my train to London. I would highly recommend staying here for the location is a short walk from sacre coeur and Montmartre. Its also a two minute walk to Barbes Rouchouart metro station which will take you to all the central Parisian tourist sites. The only downside would be the groups of guys who hang around the bottom of the streets. They are completely harmless but it can be a but daunting if you're a solo female traveller as they often tried to speak to me, so its best to just ignore them. All in all, it's great value for the low nightly price and gives you your own space within a welcoming and kind family home.
My trip was quick (2 NIGHTS), interesting price/room ratio, I didn't like the surrounding streets but it wasn't a big deal, I was leaving in the morning & returning at night so versus the price paid, you can forget about the surrounding. The room is in the 4th floor in a secured gated residence, the metro station is very close, the host are smiley, friendly & very social, the room/bathroom/towels are very clean. I felt at home.
Beautiful family. Ryselaine, her mother, and her sister made sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I speak minimal french, but Ryselaine and her sister Yasmine both speak pretty good english in my opinion, and this made the stay that extra bit easier. Ryselaines mother is a lovely, caring and proud woman, and entertaining. We all managed to sit around and talk and laugh together. The moroccan tea and treats were a bonus. The room is nice, it isnt huge but theres room enough. And the private bathroom next door is convenient. Good sleep at night including siestas. The big window gives a nice vibe aswell. The apartment is within easy walking distance of all the main sites of Montmarte, and easily reached from Gare Du Nord station. Just a note as mentioned by another guest, there are groups of guys that hang out on the street near this apartment, they wont bother you but for the more timid traveller or solo female travellers this could be a little intimidating, but I had no issues at all with them.
My five nights at Ryselaine`s was a good experience. The accommodations were modest, but adequate. The care and attention
I received from Ryselaine and her mother was excellent. Lovely people both of them, as was the sister Yasmine. The neighbourhood is not the nicest, but the Metro is close by and Gare du Nord a 10 minutes walk away so getting around is very easy.
Very nice. Ryselaine and her mum were very lovely and graciously opened their home to me. Her mum was very lovely despite only
speaking French and it was great for me as it was very close to the metro and the main train station. It was very nice to stay in a very homely apartment after being in hotels and hostels. It was also nice to see a none touristy part of Paris which was very multicultural and was amazing to see the market on Saturday morning under the train line
I had just a short stay. When in Paris, I have found you just need a safe, clean place to lay your head, because there is so much to do during the day. Ryselaine and her family were charming and provided all that and more. They are helpful and generous. A wonderful place to rest and the location is great, being so close to Gare du Nord.
