We had a great time staying in the Lacroma apartment! Traveling with a baby in a stroller it was great (and not to be taken for granted in Dubrovnik) that we could reach the building without taking too much of a detour to avoid steps. There is a number of stairs to get to the apartment from the street, but manageable.
The apartment had absolutely everything we could have needed on our 4-day trip. There only thing we could have used that wasn-t there was a microwave, but this could easily be worked around. Djaniela even arranged a baby cot for the apartment.
The terrace was great to sit in in the evening and have a glass of wine watching the sunset over the Adriatic Sea. It even came complete with a variety of cats that would hang out with us.
Djaniela arranged transportation for us to and from the airport, which was nice. She was very nice to deal with, and gave a quick reply to any questions we had.
The apartment is about a 15 minute walk to (and 20 minutes from) the old town. But the walk down has an amazing view! The closesti grocery store is at the gates of the old town, and aby bigger supermarkets are in the new town, on the other side of the old town from the apartment. Taxis are easy to come by, though, if the walk back feels overwhelming.
All in all, I very much recommend this place to stay for a great trip to Dubrovnik!
We had a great time in this appartment. the location were nice and comfortable, near the center (10 minutes walk) with a beautiful view. The appartment is big and new, with all the stuff inside. Just parking car is a little difficult.
Our stay couldn't have been easier. Danijela organised taxi transfers for each couple on arrival and return.
The apartment is very functional and has all you would need to be self sufficient if you wished to stay in. We tended to eat out in the old town. I would recommend Oliva for all round value for money.
The walk down is pleasant being about 15 minutes and a taxi back up the hill is 60 kuna per taxi. So for 4 of us this was good value. The walk back up the is pleasant enough but when you have been sight seeing all day it was a small price to pay.
Very nice 3 bedroom place in quite area. About 20 min walk to old town. Clean comfortable. Full kitchen with many supplies. Lots of towels. Great Internet. Laundry in one of the bathrooms. Larger bathroom with steam shower and other smaller one with toilet small sink and shower stall. Hosts were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with! It's a great place if u want to be away from the hustle of downtown. Beautiful terrace with outdoor seating and hammock. Nice view of the sea as well. If you are worried about steps the apartment is up higher on the hillside. There is a road that has a nice constant grade around the 150 or so steps from the street below. Also bus stop is very close to get around the city.
Dani and Danijela were excellent hosts. On our arrival Danijela organized transfer for us to the appartment and also brought us to the shopping center, so we could buy sall necessary things...even bath for baby, so Danijelas car was up to the top filled with our stuff.
She also were so kind to let us into the appartment earlier then checking time because we had a baby with us who needed to sleep.
Area is very nice, view is excellent and terasse is the best! Even in hot summer there will be nice because of nice breeze from sea and trees that are next to terasse.
The area is calm and sutable for families with children. We only had small issue because of thin walls in the (website hidden) the night it's not a problem, but since our baby had to sleep at day time...it was issue for us because we could hear some noises when neighbours were going up or down...and even hear their talk.
But nights are fine and relaxing. I would recomend this appartment! We stayed at several places and so far Danijela and Dani are the best hosts we met so far!
We all loved our stay. 6 girls from the UK for 5 nights aged 30-40. Perfect comfortable apartment. All we needed. Great location. Took us 15mins to walk to old town and it's a lovely walk with lovely views and passing the beach. Noticed other hotels not too far away so you're not out in the sticks. Bus stop close by for those that don't wish to walk, but it really isn't necessary. Bus stop is called Victoria which is where the tours will pick you up from, just a minute from the apartment. Some of us took the bus back from old town to aprtment once whilst the others walked and those that took the bus regretted it. Quicker to walk back as the bus goes in a one way loop through the city. The walkers got back 25 mins earlier than us that took the bus!ha Maybe quicker to get bus into town, but the walk is down hill, so again pointless. And the bus is flat price of 12/15kuna per journey. We preferred to spend our money on pastries instead for that price!haha Appreciated the distance from the hustle and bustle. Though it's not far, it's cooler and quieter. Lovely view from balcony. Best apartment we've had so far and we travelled through Croatia using apartments. The stairs up were not an issue for us. Just pace yourself over 2 minutes if that. The hosts were great ringing the tour companies for us, speaking to taxi drivers when we lost, coming around to help us with things. Nothing seemed too much trouble and in regular contact through our choice. I'm sure if we wanted to be left undisturbed for the week they would have done, but 6 girls have lots of questions!ha It was so clean and airy. Main bathroom was nice. We didn't spend much time in the apartment as we were out all day every day on 12 hours tours, but it was a pleasure to know we were returning to somewhere that felt like a home. We have learnt apartments are way better than hotels. The sense of being together in a communal space is lovely. And the free WIFI was much appreciated. It never went off. And the welcome biscuits, the juice in the fridge, and all the essentials like enough toilet paper/towels/dish washing materials, tea/coffee, salt/sugar etc. was appreciated. No one wants to have to go out and buy that kind of thing for a short stay. You really can arrive, and just get started on your holiday. Thank you very much for being nice hosts and arranging our transfer home in a very nice Mercedes minivan! We felt spoilt from arrival to departure. And the neighbours in the area were lovely too.
The place is clean, large and well (website hidden) has everything you need and more.
The view from the terrace is perfect.
Djani and his wife are so nice. They arranged our pick up from and to the airport. They are always available if you need anything. Best hosts !!!!
The old town is not far. If you don't want to walk you can take a bus. The location is really great, close to animations but in a quiet area
Book it !
We were three generations (6 people) sharing a week in Dubrovnik in the end of July. Lacroma apartment is a perfect place to rest after enjoing the town and the beutiful locations nearby.
We specifically have to mention the spacy and cosy terrace, with its beautiful view of the sea, perfect for sharing meals, drinks and good company.
We also have to mention the best hosts you can ask for Djani and Danijela. Friendly hospitality and perfect organization!
The apartment was well equipped, in generally good condition including everything necessary for keeping your own household.
Regarding the location it is in a calm area a brisk walk (10-15 min) from the old town and to the beaches. Bring good shoes :)
Vigdis & Co
We were warmly received at the apartment by Danijela after she efficiently had arranged the transport from the airport. Fresh fruit and cold water were served, and we got a detailed introduction to the apartment , Dubrivnik and surroundings.
The apartment was just as seen on the pictures at AirBnB, including the cosy terrase with a magnificant view. The apartment was very clean and functional. We even got new bed linnen and towels halfway through our 10 days stay. In addition, the apartment got cleaned at the same instance.
Concerning others mentioning the walking distance to the Old Town part of Dubrovnik, this was not an issue. On several instances we just took the No. 5 or No.8 bus from the Viktoria bus stop at the street below the Zlatni Potok street were the apartment is placed. On several other occasions we took a cab back to apartment from the taxi stand outside the Ploce gate at a cost of 40-50 kn.
Danijela and Djani are very nice hosts and people in general. Danijela helped us swiftly with all practical and informational questions. Djani hosted us warmly at the Lacroma Cafe on the Lokrum island, which is truly worth a visit. We can highly recommend this rental option in Dubrovnik.
We had a lovely stay at Apartment Lacroma. Danijela was prompt in replying to any emails and sorting out any problems that we had. She was able to recommend several restaurants and arranged airport transfers for us.
The apartment was clean and well set up. One nice touch was fresh fruit in the bowl and a large bottle of water in the fridge when we arrived.
The apartment has a dishwasher (tablets supplied) and washing machine (powder suppied) which we really appreciated.
There is a nice outdoor patio area that is lovely to sit out in and read or eat your meals. It has lovely views of the bay and Lokrum Island. If you crane your neck a bit you can just see the walls of the old town.
The walk to the old town took us about 15-20 minutes as it is downhill but coming back took more like 25-30 minutes. I'm sure if we stayed longer we could have completed it quickier.
I would not recommend this apartment to anyone with problems walking.
Anyway, great apartment, fantastic host, would definately book it again.
Danijela and Dani had been nice guests. I didnt had the chance to meet them in person, but everthing went quite uncomplicated and smooth. Everytime again! And hopefully next time i will be able to meet you!
