I am happy to hear that you appreciated the ideal location of the apartment, the large TV and the comfortable living room and the coffee machine and thank you for your review as I am always looking to see where improvements can be made. Of the many many guests I have had this is one of the only negative critiques of the apartment thus I was surprised to read your review and regret that you were not completely satisfied as that is my intent I have for all my guests. Normally Rita greets all my guests when they (email hidden), but occasionally when she can not make it she informs the doorman of your pending arrival and he has the key for you. I am glad that you had no problems getting the key and entering the apartment, but apologize you didn't get the personal service that you expected. As for the pots and utensils not being clean enough for your standards it sounds like this was a one time occurrence and I will make sure the cleaners take special attention to this moving forward. After every guest leaves, I have the apartment professional cleaned in a very thorough manner and of all my guests I have never heard a complaint with this, the cleanliness of the apt. is one of the most common compliments I receive after the ideal location. I will be sure to bring up your critique to the cleaners attention to make sure this does not happen (website hidden) past guests have been very satisfied with the apartment given the value they receive for the premiere location, the cleanliness of the apartment, the comfortable living room, nice HD. TV, high speed internet, and (email hidden) to call home while visiting the best area Rio has to offer.

Me and my husband became members as hosts of community ABNB in June 2012 and we are very pleased with this type of business.

> In October 2012 my husband and I planned a trip to NY. Actually I had a flight to go to Brazil, my country of origin. Flights from Seattle to Brazil have stopover in Atlanta, so we decided to go to NY to spend some days there and then I would go to Brazil and my husband would return to Seattle.

> Immediately after the confirmation of the booking by the ABNB. My wife sent a txt from her cellphone to Mr. Shamar. When we arrived a different person was there to greet us, which was perfectly fine with us, but our first impression was the place was very dirty and had a terrible odor of food. On a table in the room had leftover food and dishes and disposable cups. The bathroom was dirty. The trash basket was full, floor and toilet dirty. Besides the bed being made the bedroom wasn't clean. The poor quality sheets were uncomfortable too, we contemplated going out and buying new sheets. Immediately after arrival we decided to go out for a walk and before leaving we noticed that the door lock in our room did not work. We called Mr Shamar and ask him to fix the lock . He replied that at that time there was not a locksmith available, but in the next day he would call someone to do the repair. We told him that we were afraid to get out and leave the door open, because we had many things of value in bags, such as jewelry, cash and passports, but instead of immediately getting the problem fixed he said he would do it tomorrow and promised our stuff would be fine. We never did hear back from him because he called my mobile number instead of my wife's and for some reason it went straight to voicemail and I didn't get the message until after our trip. So the reason we didn't call him back was because he called a different cell phone, which is understandable, not because we have bad communication skills in our marriage as his comments eluded to. I had a flight at 9am and My wife had flightat 3pm so we departed at different times. My wife explained that a man appeared at the door of the room like a ghost and without introducing himself and asked for me, she replied that we had different flights and that I had left early. She had 2 big suitcases and a carry on, and he offered help with one of her bags. she thanked him and said goodbye. I have to say that as guests we were very unhappy with the room, even though at the time we had no problem with Shamar as he seemed to be nice. We realized that the amount paid for the stay was low, so we didn't expect much, but when a host charges for cleaning fees we expect it to at least be clean and because of this we left a review that the place was dirty. After our review, he called me and was upset that I could write his after he was nice enough to help my wife with her luggage.
