I had traveled across country with pets and through wacky weather -- and Sarah Jane was the first to greet me upon my Santa Fe arrival. She immediately helped me to feel welcomed, brought me into her wonderful casita, and offered any assistance I may need. I spent a month+ there while seeking a more permanent residence and I could not have had a more wonderful place to do this from! The casita was spotless, organized, and decorated in a warm and funky way. It was stocked with healthy foods including organic coffee, grains, all sorts of condiments (including hot sauce of course!) and spices. There were fresh flowers, a really comfortable bed, a vintage table that I made into my "office", a very large storage closet and a clean and working bathroom. I was very contented there, as were my pets. They especially liked the sun spots that came through the painted windows.
When I first arrived Santa Fe was in a deep cold snap and Sarah Jane checked in to make sure I was warm enough (I was) and where an extra heater was if I needed it. Sarah Jane manages to walk the perfect balance between being a guide to Santa Fe, available for questions, etc. -- but also respectful of one's space - which for me was important given a great need to recoup after months of change.
The neighborhood is very convenient to everything one would need and I traveled quite a bit to the Railyard to get coffee, see art, and see this very big sky... Sarah-Jane is a wonderful host and is a substantive, kind, and fascinating person. I am truly grateful for my time at the casita and in her company.
Sarah-Jane's casita is just as advertised, and more: warm, cheery, homey. I was busy so I saw little of Sarah-Jane, but she checked in on me at arrival and made sure everything was good. The casita has all you would need of a kitchen, is perfectly located in relation to the Plaza and fine coffee, food shopping and restaurants. It made the time in Santa Fe a pleasure.
This cute little casita was quite, warm, and peaceful. It had everything you would need for a weekend getaway in the kitchenette. No TV and spacious for 2 people. The HOT water was very good and there is a nice deep bathtub to take a bath.
The casita was cozy and located in a very convenient location. It was easy to coordinate with Sarah-Jane. I would recommend to others.
we arrived to the casita at night but was incredibly easy to find. after 10+ hours on the road, the casita was a perfect place to rest soundly. the room was clean, shower hot and futon bed comfy. we walked to a nearby, local restaurant (tune-up cafe) for dinner- the el Salvadoran entree was divine. we were off early in the morning and unfortunately didn't meet sarah-jane. she was in touch with us via text and available for questions or help. highly recommend this gem in santa fe! will be back ;-)
The casita was a perfect little place to stay! It fits Santa Fe exactly. Sarah-Jane was a great host. She even accommodated our gluten-free diets. A wonderful experience overall!
What a gem! If you are visiting Santa Fe, the casita is the place to be. Located close to the parks which run into the center of town along the Santa Fe river, the casita is a lovely cozy little house set back from the street in a great neighborhood. It was perfectly clean, and well stocked with a full kitchen to make dinner, and fresh bread and muffins for breakfast.
Sarah-Jane was very flexible coordinating our arrival, and has put together a very useful little book of where to go in the area. It was excellent value for money, and we would absolutely stay here again in the future.
Cute casita, very clean and cozy! Would absolutely love to stay again when passing through Santa Fe.
Cute place. Feels kind of like a very nice cabin (but in town). I loved having a kitchen. There is no microwave or television which I found refreshing! The binder full of info on restaurants, events, etc was helpful. On street parking seemed a bit tight although it worked. Location is ideal - the plaza is only a few minutes away. We drove but could have walked almost everywhere we went.
Very pleasant and well equipped casita on I good spot. Nice to see that all the basic things like olive oil and vinegar are provided. Location is good. We recovered quickly from our 8 hour jet lag here.
Sarah-Jane was an excellent guest and would have her back anytime.
Sarah was a delight to host. Very respectful, quiet and tidy.
Sarah was a lovely, simple to host, guest. She communicated as needed and was caring and appreciative of my home. I returned feeling it had been well tended and enjoyed. I also enjoyed learning a bit about her creative pursuits. She is always welcome here.
Sarah Jane is a delightful, smart, talented woman and I'm absolutely positive she will be a fabulous host for your visit to Santa Fe. She's lived there for years and has a wonderful community of friends and knowledge of the area. Go stay with her if you have the cahnce!
Sarah-Jane and Jeremy are the greatest people to introduce you to Santa Fe! They are talented and openhearted souls. They have an amazing casita for you to stay in and you will love their hospitality! Don't forget to give their pup, Jake, many many cuddles too, he's a wonderful little guy!
Sarah is AWESOME... Smart, talented, passionate and compassionate. I wish I could stay at the casita! Maybe a writing retreat one day...
But if you want to meet great people and have a super relaxing stay in Santa Fe, you should DEFINITELY do it!
There isn't a more perfect place to stay and explore Santa Fe from. The casita is such a sweet space, I instantly felt at home in it. Small but airy and full of light. I love it. The location is convenient and I was grateful to be able to walk to the plaza and not have to deal with parking. There's a running path nearby, a fantastic co-op and cafes all in the neighborhood. And Sarah-Jane and Jeremy are the most wonderful hosts on the planet, with everything from a recommendation from where to get a cup of coffee to great conversation. They know all the fantastic hidden places in Santa Fe you can't find in guidebooks. Can't recommend it highly enough. I want to go back!
