Ali's apartment was amazing and made our stay in Paris feel like home. I enjoyed every individually picked piece of furniture, lighting and home accessory that gave the apartment that extra character. The tiny 2 person lift in the building was fun to use although may not be appropriate for someone wheelchair bound due to the tight space. Make sure you receive the full instructions to get into the apartment block (2 pass codes) as I only received part of it and got locked out the first night. Also, the door to the apartment does not open again once you close it unless you have the key so ALWAYS make sure you have the key with you before closing the door. Thankfully Ali was quick to reply to my desperate emails. Lovely neighbourhood and highly accessible to nearby eateries with Carrefour and a gym within walking distance. The metro is a short walk away. The bars downstairs open till late and we were around during the Fifa season so it was common to hear loud cheering every now and then till midnight or so. We needed the windows open to cool down from the day's summer heat. However we were late sleepers so we were not too affected. And it was nice to hear the neighbourhood come alive!
The Eiffel tower is about 20mins away by metro. It is nice to be staying away from the tourist zones as the crowds in summer can be pretty overwhelming. Highly recommend staying here if you want a well-paced holiday with sufficient time to put up your legs and enjoy some down time indoors (:
Ali's place is really nice and well furnished. All facilites are located close to the apartment. The apartment is really quiet , clean and well organized .
Ali is a really nice and helpful person, provided the necessary tips about the area which made a difference.
I will definitely go back to Ali's place during my next trip in paris .
Ali's apartment is very nice! It is quite large by Parisian standards, very well decorated and has beautiful big windows that let plenty of natural light in. It is also very well equipped with everything you may need. Multiple metro and bus stops are located nearby. Location is perfect if you plan to spend most of your time in the Marais.

We stayed in Ali's apartment near Bastille in Paris for over two weeks in July-August. Our experience was excellent. The place was very clean, very neat, and it had the best equipped kitchen I've ever encountered in a short-term rental. The bedroom has a nice bed and a chest of drawers and the linens were immaculate. There are three beautiful windows in the apartment, one in each room, making it very sunny and cheery, and the windows have blinds And drapes for privacy, as well. The kitchen has a microwave and also a full gas and electric (yes, both) stove with an oven, a dishwasher, a nespresso coffee machine, and a top-notch LG clothes washer. There's no dryer, but Ali left us a great folding clothes rack big enough to dry a full load of laundry fairly quickly. The apartment has very good ventilation. There's a quiet electric fan in each room and a portable A/C unit with the big hose sticking out the kitchen window that did a pretty good job the few days when the heat wave made Paris hotter than usual. There's a nice stereo and a generous size flat-screen TV in each room (i imagine they work, though we didn't touch them-we're not tv people). The apartment is on the fourth floor or a typical, old Paris building. There is a tiny 2-person elevator that works beautifully, and the wooden stairs are very generously designed and safe. There are security codes on the front doors and the place felt very safe and it was very quiet. There is an L-shaped in the living-room that is great for sitting and slouching through a lazy afternoon. Our daughter slept on it every night and it was fine. There's also an oversize coffee table by the couch, complete with great art books that makes the room very cozy. The only two things we weren't thrilled about were the fact that the apartment does not have a real dining table, and the hight of the bathtub. The apartment has a breakfast counter with two high stools. The counter is nice, but a tAble would have been nice for the three of us to sit together more comfortably. There is room in the living room for a cafe table and chairs. We were tempted to buy a folding set. The bathroom and shower-head are very nice and there's a brand new water heater that supplies endless hot water, but the tub is installed very high, and it's a bit of stretch to get into and out of it (i have a bad back). The neighborhood is safe, full of food shops, bakeries, and a Carrefour supermarket very close by, making food shopping a breeze and at reasonable prices (very good produce). The metro entrance is a block away, with a taxi stand right in front. If you read French, Ali has a great collection of the classics. A large bookshelf filled with only the best. We felt at home and hope...
A very nice place to stay in a very nice neighborhood. The apartment with the bedroom is very comfortable in a house that is very quiet. All around you shops, bars, restaurants and the fantastic Velib-point.
Ali’s apartment is very nice and comfortable. Very central location. Lots of restaurants on the street，some of them are very delicious. At night，when you close the windows, noise is insulated so no worries about your sleeping quality. 5-10 minutes walk to 3 different metro (email hidden)ese 3 metro stations provided nearly all the main metro lines you may need for travelling through PARIS! All facilities are very useful and new，internet works (website hidden) utensil are all in readiness so that my mum cooked for me and my dad every morning. A big supermarket is on this street ，just 2 minutes walk. Although we did not meet up with ALI during our stay，I could feel that he is a very tidy and well organised person！ Must be recommended to every friend who plan to Paris for a longish and leisure staying！！
It was nice hosting Ali and his friends. Always welcome.
