Nancy was nice but the most "needy" guest I have ever dealt with. I filled the tub when she checked out and it was too hot to get in to. First guest to have complained about the hot water and I've had no issues with it whatsoever in well over a decade. The hot water heater has a temperature setting if she wanted the water hotter. Same with the plugs in the master bathroom. One blew out from her hair mega-watt hair dryer but the one 3 feet away worked fine so not sure what the issue was. Regarding the landline (which I provide as a courtesy as everyone seems to use their cell with fine reception), no other complaints, ever. Worked fine when I got back like it did when I left. I don't know what to say. I was on vacation and Nancy contacted me numerous times about the wireless internet which worked fine when she checked in and when she checked out. I contacted the provider which confirmed it was working. I asked if by chance it was an issue with her own computer and to check and see if her phone could connect to the internet. She never got back to me on that question but kept complaining about her computer not connecting to the wireless. I also suggested that she use the provided ethernet cable in the alternative. Again, no response yet more complaints about her computer. Sorry folks, my place does not include IT support, and if you're a gourmet chef and or expecting a top-notch kitchen, I'm a bachelor who doesn't cook much so this is not likely the ideal place for you. Finally, the place is professionally cleaned before every guest and has a top of the line Dyson vacuum cleaner and Swiffer etc. so not sure why anyone would need a broom, but will get one!
I have professional cleaners in right before every guest and none of these issues were reported to me. Nor did Colleen bother to inform me of any of these issues which I would have addressed immediately had I been made aware of them during her stay. I do my best to provide a positive experience but there is just no pleasing the occasional guest that seems to focus on and even seek out each and every possible negative in their environment. It makes me sad as these are obviously not happy people in general. It seems Colleen was expecting a hotel experience and unfortunately that level of service is not possible in a home that is lived in and which doesn't enjoy the benefit of a full-time in-house maintenance, cleaning and customer service staff.
