I'm brand new to AirBnB, but I can tell this a good fit for my low-maintenance style of traveling. Hotels are fine, but it's really nice to have a stove to cook some eggs or make some coffee in the morning.
Quick summary of me:
I grew up in Urbana, IL and have lived in Chicago since 2001. Both these cities are near and dear to my heart. I love eating out, concerts, summer fests, museums (just went to EMP Museum in Seattle- awesome!), swimming, and biking. I recently finished my masters degree in education policy and work for a nonprofit called North River Commission. Basically, I train student teachers working in Albany Park, Chicago, and help schools develop resource connections in community.
Some of my favorite travel destinations over the years:
Sevilla, Oaxaca, Paris, Toronto, San Juan PR, New Orleans, Seattle
How Children Succeed- Paul Tough
This is How You Lose Her- Short Stories by Junot Diaz
Outliers- Malcolm Gladwell
Most importantly, you can't count on me as a considerate, low-impact guest in your home. My mother ran a bed and breakfast for 9 years, so I leave things tidy when I travel. I look forward to exploring your city!
