passion on travelling, tired of office work and love outdoor activities, like to meet people, letting out some of the rooms on airbnb.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Vraiment une superbe auberge avec un bon esprit et toujours serviable et disponible.
De plus elle est super bien situé.
Overall I enjoyed my stay mostly because of the folks that I met and got the chance to hang out with. Other than that the pictures look a lot nicer than the hostel actually is. It's awkward how the rooms are not connected to the same lobby but instead and separated across several residential floors. Upon arrival the sheets and bed was moist and I often woke up in a cold sweat. The bathroom and shower were cleaned daily but shared between 10 people needs to be cleaned more often. Yessin (right around the corner from this hostel and also the same price) is much much better.
A pretty decent place to stay given the price for location. Can pretty much get anywhere in Hong Kong from there. If you're friendly, you'll make plenty of friends. Staff are helpful and have social lives so you can join them for a night out - they're pretty enthusiastic.
Good for someone who travels around Hong Kong or works in the day. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Toilet is shared by a few people but the place is cleaned regularly.
Laundry is located downstairs though, not in-house.
It was a bit tricky to find the location of the hostel- the front door is not on Gloucoster Rd, it's on Cannon street! The 9th floor is where the office is while most of the rooms are on the 11F floor (which threw me off)- call the front desk if you need help! One of the front desk employees was a bit rude on the phone while the other employee was very helpful and patient. The bathrooms were pretty small- but usable and the bunkbeds were pretty close to each other (bring earplugs!) I didn't stay much in the hostel so it was okay.
Pretty good, clean dorm.
Because it is in an apartment building, you really need to watch for the entrance on the street level - there won't be any kind of sign for pandora's after 80s or anything like that. I didn't have much trouble though, and another guest helped me get in and go to the receptionist on the 9th floor when I arrived.
I stayed for just one night and had to check out by midday, but they watched over my luggage while I went out until I had to leave for my train in the evening.
This place is very clean, on a pretty location for Hong Kong : only 2 minutes walking from the MTR Station of Causeway Bay - the center of the Island. The district has many shops where you can find everything you want, and it is also very safe.
It has a kitchen which is fully equipped - and a big salon in which you can share with people coming from all over the world ! The room is good, and the bed is soft. I liked it. There is also a balcony with an amazing view on "the Harbor" and "New territories“.
The Staff (Angel, Maybelle, Cathy, Anson) was very helpful and gave me a lot good tips about Hong Kong. They replied very quickly to any questions / requests I had.
Would really recommend this place and I hope that I will be back soon to visit you. Thank you for this great experience, you were wonderful hosts !
Very bad and photo not real
The hostel is very clean and the dorms have sufficient space for someone without a lot of luggage. A lot of people have commented that the apartment is a little difficult to locate, however, I followed the directions from the confirmation quite closely and was able to find the apartment just by looking up the location on a map beforehand. I would also like to mention that the apartment is conveniently located. I would say that overall I am very satisfied by the stay.
My only suggestion would be for the staff to give each guest a brief introduction to the hostel rules including checking in, checking out, use of apt utilities etc. I was also a little unclear as to how open the kitchen was to all residents (e.g. which dishes to use, when to wash, etc). So if the staff could be more attentive, that would be better for the guests.
I would also warn some people that there is a curfew around midnight otherwise you may be trapped outsied and that the bathroom is very tiny and it is a shower/toilet! So if you are planning to stay, bring your own pair of slippers to where in the bathroom.
