Edward, you are being dishonest in this comment. Or maybe you misunderstood what I wrote in French..
Even if located in East Village, we consider we paid too much considering that :
-We did sent you an email on 15th sept prior to check in date advising you of the approximate time of arrival, then we did call you to let you know we would be at the apartment betw. 5 and 6 pm. You then told us to contact your friend Fernan. So we called him to let him know the time , he was fine with it but still arrived 1/2h late. He was in a rush so we did not learn much about the place and he quickly told us after asking that all Wi-Fi codes and username were to be under the modem. Unfortunately no username matched yours on the network.
As we did need that promised Wi-Fi connection, we did left you and Fernand msgs that you never returned in 3 days.
-We were 4 adults and there was not enough kitchenware for us to prepare decent meals ( missing knives , no glass , no toasting machine etc ) The cookerhood seems to have been removed , so no ventilation either in the tiny kitchen/dinner room .
-Several lightbulbs were burnt out.
-We found a used and dirty electric razor in the bathroom.
-As the apartment is in the basement , the loud sound of the elevator motor and of the adjacent washing machines can be really annoying at night.
But I also admit that the view from the top of the building was quite nice and the apartment was clean when we checked in.
-We were supposed to check out at 11 am on wednesday morning and tried to call you but your voicemail was full, which I can prove and Fernan never returned our calls. It seems that making cash is much more important to you than the well-being of the tenants so instead of trying to explain what we said in French, you'd better think about lowering your rates ( definitely overrated , even for the area.QED
