Great place close to Harvard Business School. It was perfect for me, since I had to attend a conference there. Samura is a great host.
Samura was very friendly and helpful, my room was very spacious and the location right between Harvard and MIT excellent. Living there is like a student flat share. I am sure Samura has a great career ahead.
Samura was a friendly, generous, and helpful host.
The rooms I stayed in were furnished well for my purposes (I think she changes the furniture for each guest).
Being from California, I was unprepared for the humidity of a Boston evening in the summer, I would recommend that people who are not used to more humid climates look for a place with AC, as it seems to take more than a week to adapt.
Stayed for 10 days in the middle of summer.
Pros: Samura was very responsive and flexible. I was supposed to get in at 9pm and instead landed at midnight and Sam was there to meet me at 1 in the morning. The location is great... 5 minutes from Central square with lots of great food options. Also nice to have a washer/dryer on site and breakfast essentials (cereal and milk) provided. Sam also made sure to set up an ironing board and iron for me upon request. Place is relatively cheap for the area.
Cons: I have AT&T and my room was a cell phone dead zone. The wifi signal also didn't reach to my bedroom so I had to use the ethernet connection. The place wasn't particularly clean or nicely furnished and the shower doesn't drain well, but you get what you pay for. The beds also could have been more comfortable.
All in all, a budget option that will do in a pinch. With some minor upgrades and better reception, this could have been a nicer play to stay instead of a place to crash.
Sam was very good about staying in contact, was prompt in responding, and coordination of check-in went smoothly. This was my first time on Airbnb so I don't know how these things usually work, however there were anomalous aspects of the stay. The listing I booked was not actually where I ended up staying, as Sam changed the location to a different apartment. She also stated she had listed the price wrong and requested an additional $40, which I declined to pay. Finally, the room and apartment I stayed in were acceptable but not particularly clean.
Samura is very nice. The place is near Harvard. It was a great stay in Boston.
Samura was great, made my stay very easy. The wifi worked perfectly and the location was ideal.
The place was clean.
The 2 bedrooms was very nice.
We was sleeping so well with the windows open
The breeze made us very comfortable and easy to sleep.
Quite place but safe.
Samura was nice and given us enough information on how to get there.
I would recommend her apartment if you are in boston.
As everyone seems to underline the location is extremely convenient, just a 3-5 min walk from Central T station (which you really appreciate when storm Arthur makes you take a shower on the 3rd and 4th of July..), and Samura is really quick to answer. As (only) some say, we were a little disappointed about the cleaning (given the cleaning fee but no clean sheets), but overall I would recommend this apartment which is an incredible spot at low rate to visit Boston and Cambridge, and a nice host (although we did not get a chance to talk to much because of our quick journey).
A tip to those who drive to Boston by car like us: you can leave your car in the Green Street Parking (the closest to Western Avenue, not the further one), for 2 to 3 days without moving it, for 13 $ a day
Samura was a very pleasant person to deal with.
