I'm a director and performer and maker of theatrical things. But right now, I'm in graduate school. This means 1) I'm surrealistically busy most of the time and 2) am thrilled to find ways to generate a bit more income! (Art school is wonderful and is changing my life, but unfortunately it's not making me rich just yet.) I am drawn to visual story telling (i.e. dance, puppetry, and animation) but I've got a background in story-theater so my place is filled with books by the authors that inspire me most: Tolstoy, Hemingway, Chekhov, Alice Munro, Henry James, Ursula K. LeGuin, and Henry Miller. I've got a mini-art studio stowed under the office table, with everything I need to make shadow puppets, or kaleidoscopes (both passions of mine), and the kitchen has not one, but TWO wine bottle openers. I'm studying directing at the moment - for the theater, but I'm starting to work with film too - and I'm happiest when I'm in rehearsal. I'm second happiest when I'm writing a new project. And probably third happiest every time I open my door. I really love my apartment!
