Glad you weren't too bothered by the stink bugs--all I could find were removed before you came, but others magically emerge...As long as you don't crush them, they're not a big problem. Impressive survival instincts!
My apologies about the moth-ball smell--it is one thing that deters mice from getting in and gnawing on things-- they are an issue in the country. Will air things out as soon as it isn't so frigid! Stink bugs are hard to prevent--every time I go in I remove any that are found, but the sneaky little critters keep appearing as they try to stay warm.
