We found this home to meet or exceed the description and our expectations. The communication and instructions from the host were excellent and we had no trouble finding the property or letting ourselves in. Everything was very clean and tidy. The house is not new; it was probably built in the 60s. However, the inside has been updated with new floors fresh paint and the new fixtures.
The kitchen has everything you may need except a dishwasher. That was not a problem since we mostly ate out. There are plenty of condiments and just about anything you may need to cook with.
The bathroom was good. The sink does not line up with the mirror and vanity lights (which are hot) but once we figured out how to dim the lights and step to the right, all was good.
There are two private rooms, each can sleep a couple. You may also be able to sleep one or two people on the couch.
Most of the furniture is from Ikea, clean, functional, and adequate.
If you like bright colors, this is a good place to consider. Between the paintings, the sheets, and the furniture, you will find bright shades of pink, purple, green, blue, etc. We enjoyed the various pieces of artwork including the fish with kissing lips in the bathroom.
The neighborhood borders between okay and sketchy. We found a Dollar Tree and IHOP close by. There are a number of other stores within walking distance or a short drive. We did not spend much time in the neighborhood. We locked our car at night.
We mostly spent time in San Francisco. We were amazed that it was only 19 minutes from this house to Fisherman's Wharf. However, depending on the time of day, traffic may make that trip longer.
There is a little freeway noise as it's only a block or so from the freeway. There was also a barking dog that we heard in the morning for short bursts. Other than that, it was pretty quiet and peaceful. There is a shared apartment in the front. We did not hear a peep from whoever was staying there.
I give the host and the property five stars because I would definitely stay there again and I would also recommend it to a friend.
My favorite place around the bay, house is great abd Luna is always helpfully. Now the big television has also the antenna... I can say only that is perfect!
Luna was great at communicating. Her house is absolutely lovely. It was very clean. There is a lot of space and everything we needed was available to us. I would definitely recommend staying here as I know I will be in the future if I am in the area.
We didn't have much contact with Luna, which was fine. The location may not be ideal but (25+ minute walk to bart and isn't advisable to walk alone when its dark) but beyond that the house + amenities were nice, and the pics on airbnb were pretty accurate.
Luna has a beautiful, clean and spacious home. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy meals at home. Outside patio/backyard was nice for our toddler who enjoyed running around and playing there.
It was conveniently located to everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable.
The place is bright and spacious. Very relaxing place to be after a long day of sightseeing.
Luna's house was as nice and cosy as described. It is nicely decorated and very spacious to accommodate 5 people.
Moreover, it is well-equiped, especially as far as the kitchen and the bathroom are concerned.
Besided, it is very convenient to go downtown, especially by using the BART ( the underground)
Luna has been very friendly and willing to answer our request.
We would be very happy to be back in this lovely house again!
I stayed at the studio about two months. The place is very clean and quiet. Luna is an amazing host and she makes you feel at home. She is always there for you if you need anything. The neighborhood is very quiet and the place is very close to public transportation. You can walk to BART (15 min), L bus station to San Francisco (10 min), and beautiful Bay Trail (10 min). I really enjoyed staying at Luna's place.
The house was wonderful, very clean and beautiful. The host provided us with all the amenities such as towels, shampoos, hair dryer, and kitchen utensils. The neighborhood is quiet, yet a bit far from San Francisco downtown (35 mins) plus one-way tolls of roughly $5 every time. But overall it was quite a lovely Airbnb experience for us all first-timers :)
A very nice place to stay when visiting the Bay area! I was a bit worried about the neighborhood, initially, but my wife reminded me that California was in a severe drought. In the end, the neighborhood was very quiet and close to the freeway. The house was clean and open and comfortable for us and our two teenagers. The WiFi worked well and we used it to stream movies from my laptop. It took anywhere from 30-50 minutes to get to San Francisco, depending on traffic. It worked great for us!
