My Husband and I reside between Cape Cod and Florida with our two dogs Monty and Big Papi. We enjoy travelling, golf and spending time with friends and family.
Great romantic escape in a Stylish and cozy barn hidden in the back country of Sandwich. Perfect for a couple and their pets. Beautiful interior design, wood beamed ceiling with a well equipped open kitchen great for entertaining.
My husband and I had a great time despite the big north eastern winter storm, enjoying the gas fireplace and the big cosy sofas.
Sandy has been a great virtual host and was always attentive and responsive. All her recommendations were spot on.
We will definitely be back!!
My girlfriend and I really loved the barn. This place is absolutely stocked to the teeth with everything we could have possibly wanted. It looks exactly like the pictures made it seem, and it was very clean and well kept. It was very well heated, and was great for a winter stay. We would definitely stay again! Thanks!
The place is really lovely, and well maintained. Great location and decor, and the shower is excellent too! We could not get the fireplace working, and our messages to the host to get some instructions on that were not answered, so we were unable to use the fireplace, which was kind of disappointing. But these things happen! Besides this, Sandy was very communicative before our stay and very flexible on check in and check out, which was appreciated. I do recommend the place!!
Our time at the Barn in sandwich was great and was exactly what we expected from the photos and description! Would definitely stay here again!
This was the most charming little apartment to stay with our dog for a weekend, especially around Christmas. So happy we found it, and hope to reserve it again. All wags. Thanks Sandy!
We loved staying in the Sandwich Barn. It was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was perfectly outfitted and helped with our quest to enjoy cooking the seafood of Cape Cod. We can recommend Joe's Lobster & Fish Mart in Sandwich as well. The Brown Jug in Sandwich has an excellent wine selection. We were staying over Thanksgiving so the gas fireplace was a true bonus. The road leads down an old grist mill and made for a nice morning walk. The barn is a wonderful place to explore Cape Cod from and we visited Martha's Vineyard, Plymouth Rock and were in Hyannis for a memorial mass in honor of JFK. Each night for the week we stayed, we came home with a difference delight to cook: hot steamed lobsters; buttery scallops; smoked salmon, fat fresh prawns. The barn was our home for the festival of seafood. Sandy made everything super easy and we can't say enough about staying at her sweet place. Last, those couches were killer, how we read and napped so deeply. Get to thee to the Sandwich Barn ASAP!
Myself and three friends were very comfortable at Sandy's beautiful renovated barn loft. The space was perfect for a relaxing autumn getaway - comfy couch, big TV and full kitchen. When we opened the window we could hear the sounds of the highway, but it was not an issue for us since the weather was cool and we did not open the window much. Sandwich is lovely, and place is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood off of 6A so getting around is easy. I would stay here again in the off season for sure.
Sandy's barn was a stop along a two week road trip with my boyfriend and his mother, and we loved the place! It was very tastefully decorated, and the wood exposed wood in the main part of the barn was beautiful. It was well stocked for staying in if your looking to cook, hang out and relax. Very close to the small town of sandwich, great glass blowing museum where they still have demonstrations.
The beaches in the immediate area are nice, but we chose one a little bit further out in Wellfleet, right next to the Atlantic white cedar swamp trail. The trail was nice, but a bit short. The beach was great!
For food recommendations in the area, there is an ice cream shop called 'ice cream sandwich' that had GREAT ice cream, highly recommend the peanut butter&jelly and the maple walnut! We ate two dinners atSeafood Sam's on the canal' and found great fried seafood and one of the best lobster bisques I've ever had; all were full and happy!
The only small hiccup was that the Internet was not working while we were there, but Sandy was so nice calling the company to try to get it up and working for us again. I really appreciated her quick response!
Sandy herself was a great host, always responding quickly to and and all questions we had before and during our stay. We felt very comfortable at her loft, and I would highly recommend her lovely barn to anyone looking for a a nice place to stay in a great area on the cape; it's fully stocked for if you want to stay in, but close enough to everything if you want to get out and enjoy all that the cape offers.
Thank you so much Sandy!
Sandy's place is such a beautiful airbnb. It has a well-stocked kitchen, a washer and dryer, a comfortable bed room, and excellent internet. It was a wonderful place to stay on the cape for a week!
The only to watch out for is if you are allergic to dogs, as this place is qualified as "dog friendly" - while all around the apartment was clean, there was dog hair on the couches that could cause problems.
Our stay was amazing! The barn was lovely and definitely worth it. We would most definitely stay again in the future!
Another perfect guest in Scott Brown! Very sweet, very trusting, very understanding, and just a pleasure to deal with. We would love to have him back anytime! Thank you, Scott!
