We spent the weekend at Louise's in early March and had a great time. The location was awesome, a super-cute area of Brooklyn and easy to get to the city, either walking or by subway.
The apartment itself has tons of natural light (but not so many blinds for those who like that kind of thing) and was bigger than we expected with gorgeous high-ceilings. We had a bit of trouble getting in the building's front door, which was a minor issue for us. (I already mentioned this trouble to Louise, who said she'd look into it.)
This was my first time renting with Airbnb -- having failed on previous occasions -- and it couldn't have been simpler. Louise was communicative and easy to talk to and thoughtfully left us a few maps, guide books and restaurant guides. Overall, a great experience.
Louise is just... great!
and her appartment is really a nice place to stay.
We didn't seen her during our trip but she gave us before very clear informations to find her appartment. She always replied to our emails when we needed further informations.
Louise's apartment is clean, quiet and all around is lovely and safe. There are a lot of good restos and bars all around.
I really recommend her and hope to stay at her apartment again in the future.
We were at Loise's place over the Christmas holidays. Overall, everything was just as described - very clean, Euro feel to the place, nice linens, washer-dryer, great location. Louise was great - very responsive to emails, and she really tried to make our visit work out well. The down side (I think related to the fact that Louise has not had alot of airbnb guests) were a few missing comforts e.g. no toaster, no device for playing music or DVDs. (I would call this a one-bedroom, rather than a two-bedroom, but I think this may be a language issue. It is described as it is. ) A couple of "problems" were what I think of as part of the charm of staying in an old building - keys take some wiggling and shaking to work, heat was uneven and out of our control. We would definitely stay again. A great Brooklyn experience.
I really want to give Louise a 5-star rating... Louise is very gracious, the apartment is in a great location, it is immaculate, and the linens are exquisite. our issue is with the apartment door lock, it is "tricky" to say the least.
Louise kept in constant contact prior and post stay and was very gracious. The apartment is extremely close to the subway station, has variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance and is extremely comfortable. Trully a gem. Also, don't miss out on Graziella's Italian Restaurant, it's one of the best!
We couldn't ask for a better host than Louise. She waited for us when our flight got delayed and her place has high ceiling and wood floors and it was very clean & comfortable. We strongly recommend her place, where in the heart of Fort Greene, near wonderful restaurants and markets.
Louise was a very kind and pleasant guest to have with us in our apartment. She stayed on our futon for the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, DC. She was quick to respond to emails and texts, and provided us with plenty of important details about her arrival so we knew when to expect her and could plan our day accordingly. She was very clean and respectful during her stay. We'd have her back any day!
Louise was such a kind guest. I would definitely host her stay again in NYC.
Louise was an awesome guest! Clean, quiet, considerate. You're welcome back any time! Thanks for being a great guest!
