I'm a transplant who fell in love with California after moving here a few years back--think a geeky, video-game playing version of Joni Mitchell and you wouldn't be far off. Most evenings you can find me hiking in the redwoods outside of Santa Cruz. Once the sun goes down, I'm usually hanging with my housemates. I have eight of them.. yes, eight! We all live together in huge pink Victorian mansion known around town as "The Pink House," or, if you're into the whole brevity thing, "The Pink." I was a lit major in college, and I spend at least one sunny weekend morning a week relaxing in the garden with a good book. My favorite is probably T.H. White's "The Once and Future King." I did mention I was geeky, right? Beyond that I'm also into video games (particularly single player RPGs like Skyrim or Knights of the Old Republic), Nathan Fillion, NPR, Reddit, looking down at the ocean from clifftops, sandwiches (especially of the Vietnamese persuasion), and classical antiquity.
As a guest, I am polite and quiet. While I'm plenty friendly, I'm not a big partier, so if you're looking for a guest you rage with, that's not really me. I do keep late hours though.. oddly, wherever I am and however jetlagged I may be, my body finds a way to make sure I'm awake at 1 AM. Usually trapped in stumbleupon. If you haven't heard of that, don't check it out if you ever want to sleep normally again!
