I live in San Francisco and I am originally from India.
That fact that I'll be returning for 3 more weeks in September, says it all! The family is absolutely lovely; the room is perfectly designed; the breakfast cereals, fruits, microwave, coffee/tea set-up amd more, means breakfast at home; the location is ideal (midway to Palo and and San Francisco); the separate entrance means you have your privacy and so does the family; the hosts want you to have an excellent experience and are very responsive to your requests. I can't imagine a better room situation or family situation.
Thank you Nirmala and Sam. I feel I made new friends. I'm looking forward to seeing and staying with you again.
I had a wonderful stay at Nirmala's and Sam's house. They both are very lovely people.
Nirmala helped me with writing me down directions to the places I wanted to go. She even served a very nice warm meal.
My room was nice and clean. There was free coffee and tea and a fridge with pop, juice and snacks.
Sam even drove me to the airport.
You can not ask for more!
Basement room was full stocked and had its own private entrance. In a nice neighborhood with close proximity to SFO ($15 cab ride). Nirmala was a friendly host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
I stayed with Nirmala for just one night. I had a very early flight out of SFO and wanted a place to stay that was very close to the airport. Nirmala was very flexible about check-in times, and responsive when trying to schedule when I could arrive. When I arrived, her husband let me in and showed me around, and also kindly offered me a ride to a nearby restaurant, as it was getting late and I needed to get to bed early.
The room had everything I needed, including extra blankets, good access to power outlets, water, some snacks, and a heater. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. My walk back from the restaurant was about 10 minutes and seemed quite safe. The taxi ride to the airport from Nirmala's was $20 including tip. Overall, a very comfortable, convenient place to stay in a cute neighborhood near SFO.
My first time staying at a BnB was a great experience. Nirmala was out of town, but was very good at answering my questions beforehand, and husband Sam was very accommodating and welcoming during the 3 night stay. Nice bed with extra blankets available, very hot shower, good snacks and breakfast, lots of outlets for recharging electronics. Room is private, and in a nice neighborhood near tastey restaurants, and about a mile walk from a BART station. I'd stay here again!
I felt so cared for even though Nirmala wasn't home. They pre arranged others to welcome me and let me in and even organised for me to be driven to my destination the next morning. The house was great. Super comfortable. I would recommend it to everyone!
Nirmala was very friendly and accommodating! Wife and I enjoyed walking in the neighborhood.
Place was quiet and snacks w/ coffee in the morning was a huge plus!
Nirmala and her family were very welcoming and made me feel at home. They went well beyond what I expected to make my stay comfortable. Just one quick example: her husband very generously drove me to the airport on a rainy Sunday morning. I would definitely stay here again.
I needed to go to the bay area for a couple days w/ a 5:50am am flight back to denver. When i looked at rates for hotels mid week. Wow! $350 / night. Won't look good on expense report. I'd heard good things about Airbnb so i thought id give it a try. Nirmala and Sam were great hosts. Comfortable room. nice neighborhood. Got to the SFO car rental in less than 15 minutes
Stayed in the room 5 days - large and firm bed, stocked fridge, coffee and coffee maker, utensils, wi-fi, TV, hot shower, easy parking and location close to the airport and in the heart of the Peninsula. Perfect stay.
