The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The room is a tiny room, it is good for two people, a bit crowded with luggage and stuff. It is in a good location near Sacre couer (walking distance) and near Gare du Nord (train station) and La Chapelle metro station.
The neighborhood has shops, bakeries, a market and a laundry services nearby. Many mid eastern and african places and it is near an Indian area.
The main thing that bothered us with the room is the cleanliness. The bathroom is really small and some parts of the shower curatin were brown with mould.
We didn't meet Anne-Laure but she left us the keys and told us how to reach the apartment. She had left towels and bedsheets which were dirty but she changed them after we contacted her.
The kitchen has the basic supplies necessary to make simple food. Everything in the apartment works well as far as we could tell.
Nobody ever bothered us when we came home late nights, but I don't know if I would feel safe walking the neighborhood alone, on the other hand Paris in general gives off a not so safe feeling at night.
Overall we had a nice stay despite the initial shock of the small room, lack of cleanliness and the stuff which I assume belonged to Anne-Laure (it felt like we intruded at first). The room had what we needed and we didn't spend much time there.
The small apartment is well located and only a ten minute walk from the station Gare du Nord. Our communication with Anne-Lauré before our arrival was very helpful and she gave us enough directions on how to get to the apartment and around the local area. She provided us with a city map including some local tips and instructions for the wireless internet and TV.
The apartment was tiny and unfortunately not clean enough to feel comfortable in there. We definitely expected the room, especially the bathroom, to be much cleaner. Linen and towels were fresh though. The bed is definitely only designed for small people, as it was no longer than 1,70 m.
Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our stay in Paris!
I stayed at Anne-Laure's place for 4 nights total. The first two nights my friend stayed with me. It was a bit cramped with all of our stuff in it, but manageable. After he moved out, I had a lot more space. The bathroom was rather stuffy and small, but decent. The location of the apartment was pretty good as it is near a metro station. The location is not really sketchy. It's just very diverse. Anne-Laure, though I never got to meet her in person, was a great host! The commute from the Beauvais airport (thanks to ryanair) was very long and I could not make to our meeting time so arranged another way for me to get the key and checked up on me to make sure everything was ok. In the apartment, she provided a welcome packet and was accessible through airbnb.
My stay at Anne-Laure's studio apartment in the 18th was excellent. Anne-Laure was very accommodating, firstly giving me an excellent run-down of all the places I would need to know in the area then providing particularly flexible check-out times on my last day (no guests were booked for that night).
The studio itself is small but homely, providing everything you might need in after a long day exploring Paris. It was also quiet and I enjoyed a good night's sleep each night.
I found the area in the 18th arrondissement to be nice and lively with a 1-2 minute walk to a good boulangerie and supermarket. There was a lovely community garden next door (which I unfortunately didn't have time to discover properly) and I enjoyed a short jog to the top of Montmatre for sunrise on more than one morning.
I'd be more than happy stay at Anne-Laure's apartment again!
We spent here our last couple days in Paris
Very nice appart)
Me and my boyfriend stayed there for a few nights. The flat is pretty small so it can sometimes get uncomfortable, but that is not really a problem, because you are not in the flat a lot. The connection to the city centre was good, because the metro station was near, and the lines really take you anywhere in Paris. The neighbourhood was low-income, but lively, we liked that a lot. Anne was really helpful with the house guide, and if you have a question, she answers really fast. For this price, a good stay!
My boyfriend and I stayed for four days in the apartment. Location was great - close to 3 metro stops and a 5 minute walk to Gare du Nord. The neighbourhood is very multicultural which was great! We loved the local arabic shops, and at night people gathered at the cafes and kiosks - great local mood. Everything we needed was just around the corner.
Anne-Laure was a great host, she met us on time at the apartment and provided information about the flat and Paris. She replied quickly on our questions via text.
The pictures are a little old and off, but overall we liked the apartment and it had everything we needed. Great price for a flat in Paris. We loved it.
My girlfriend and I stayed six nights at Anne-Laure's appartement and we had a very good time in Paris. The pictures are a little bit old and misleading, but as long as you don't expect too much it's alright. The appartement is not very clean and there are a few little things that bothered us: the tap was loose, the upper side of the closet was already full with clothes, there was no storage space left under the bed (it was already full with other stuff), the cupboards above the bed were crooked and the paintings that were supposed to hang on the wall rested on those same cupboards which left no space for our own stuff. But on the other hand, Anne-Laure was very helpfull and nice, candles were lit when we came in and even though we were ONE hour late because of our train's delay Anne-Laure was waiting for us in the appartment and was not upset at all. She responded very quickly every time and was a great host. The neighbourhood is save and crowded even at night which gives a secure feeling. Altogether, it's a nice appartement with a good location for this great price.
Anne-Laure is a great host : she cares about her guests and she is always available to help us. Her flat is really cute and well decorated, ideal for a young couple who wants to visit Paris. It's close to Montmartre (10 min), metro at 5 min by feet and close to Gare du Nord.
Do no hesitate to organize yoru trip at the Anne-Laure's flat !
