I'm a solicitor originally from Waterford who now lives in Wexford. This house is my holiday home that I love and get to enjoy sporadically throughout the year.

We did not have a meeting with the host OR her sister, who owned the local restaurant and pub, where we were supposed to pick up our key. Our host made her apologies in an email before going over saying she would be away in Dublin on business. Her sister was not there. She was away attending a funeral and her employees did not know who we were. After we asked the employee again to see what was holding up the owner, we were told (from another one of her employees) that the owner was again away at a funeral and to have a drink on the house. We waited 4 hours until some woman hurried over to us with a key to the cottage. We still don't know how she fit into this. The key she had was wrong and therefore, she had to run somewhere else to get the right one. She quickly walked us through the cottage handing us a small notebook (the size of my hand) with jotted down information about it and restaurants and nearby hikes.
There was a direction about how to turn the hot water on, but these directions were misleading. Upon checking out the place, we noticed a dirty pile of shoes in a corner and the refrig did not have any room to put anything. The cottage looked as though the host had just decided to move out for 3 nights to make some money. The booklet she left was a joke. It did not mention anything about what to do before checkout and WHERE TO LEAVE THE KEY. (We ended up leaving it with an employee at the hotel). This cottage is not set up for visitors unless you want to see a cluttered area where the washer was and piles of shoes in the corner. Plus, she asks if we could water her plant. She nor her sister ever tried to approach up to apologize for not being to greet us or for the inconvenience of having to wait 4 hours. So, we felt as though they were taking us for granted and doing her a favor by staying there.
On a lighter note, Dunmore East is a very lovely village with every good restaurants. It is about a 20 minute drive into Waterford so it was a great location.
We had a lovely stay at Caroline's house. Communication was easy with her, and the town was beautiful. The house was very roomy for 4 of us. I think most people would enjoy staying at Caroline's house.
Just arrived from our three weeks holidays at Dunmore East.
It's been just perfect our stay at this lovely house. Best location, great decoration and the perfect hostess.

With Caroline everything was very easy with no problems at all.
I would rent it again and of course I can recommend it to anyone.
Caroline was a charming guest, she left the apartment in excellent condition and was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend her as a guest to anyone!
