I am Attila. I am living in Budapest, working at catering. I love to do sports in my free time.
I also have a daughter.
We actually have not met Attila (he was at work), but in telephone contact was very helpful. The apartment is in a great location, 2 minutes away from City Park and Heroes Square. The apartment has everything you might need, but it needs renovation, at least bathroom. Anyway: great location, if you like to walk for 15-20 minutes you can be on the banks of the Danube.
Attilla is a pleasant smiling guy, helped us a lot around Budapest. He recommended some great places. Apartment is a small cozy place on great location, not too far from downtown. You can get by foot to some great places like Heroes square, Central park, Szechenyi baths, museums, nice restaurants, shopping malls. Looking forward to visit Budapest again.
I've been going back and forth on whether to leave a review of Atilla's apartment. We've stayed with AirBnB many times, and look forward to many more, and this is the first time I've considered writing a negative review. And it's a review based on not actually having stayed at the apartment at all.
We met Atilla as planned --- Atilla was very friendly, showed us the apartment, helped orient us in Budapest. But after he left and we started to get settled in, it became clear that the apartment was not in an acceptable condition. The photos show a beautifully lit room, in a lovely courtyard apartment complex. What we found was a dingy apartment in a dilapidated building, not very clean, with a hot water heater that (Atilla warned us) can't handle two back-to-back showers, and a kitchen that we distinctly didn't want to cook in. Maybe the problem was just that it smelled strongly of cigarette. Perhaps I should have read more carefully about whether the room allowed smoking.
The end result was that we decided to move to a hotel. AirBnB was good enough to comp the room. I expect that, had we been able to get in touch again with Atilla, he would have been eager to fix the problems he could. But we were traveling without phones that work in Hungary, and had no way to get in touch with him --- and the main problems were systemic, and didn't seem like things that could be fixed in an hour.
the location was so nice as pretty close to the park, museum, supermarket and so on. so I could cook some dishes by myself and had quiet walking time in every morning. I could not meet up with Attila, however my bf used to help me n Attila for receiving the key. the flat is nice as cozy to me. thank you so much, Attila!!
Attila is very hospitable host. Location of the apartment is great! I recommend. Thank you!
We had a great time at Attila's place.
Atilla was extremely helpful and gave us some good tips and recommendations on arrival, he is a great guy very friendly helping us carry our luggage and giving us iced tea.
The apartment was quite basic but well located. The only negative is that it did smell very strongly of smoke and as non smokers we found this unpleasant. It does seem as though everyone smokes in Budapest though so perhaps we are in the minority on this!
Attila is an helpful and kindly host. He is available at any hour in the day and he will give you all the advices you need. The apartment is great for two people with a huge doublebed. There is a nice bathroom and a small kitchen, Above all, the apartment is well situated: just 5 minutes by walk from city center and 2 minutes from the closest metro station.
Great central location, very close to the tube and easy to get around. Spacious open flat 1-bed, with Attila the host being very helpful, especially in terms of being flexible to suit our needs for check in and out!
We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The apartment is located on a busy street but if you are looking for something central near restaurants, bars and night life the location is perfect. We walked everywhere. And Attila was a great and very helpful host. Budapest itself is a fantastic city and will for sure come again!
